John Oliver is a treasure. Excellent choice.
I'm going full Garfield on this particular Monday. Too much champagne during the Oscars last night. I can't.

I'm still asleep because I won my Oscar pool by an obscene amount of points and drank a little too much.

+everything. Waiting on one school that I'm not particularly interested in, and it's been something like 5 months. Just reject me already, nothing is changing in my application.

I woke up to a ding from one of my "safety" schools so I wish Berkeley would just get it over with while I'm numb

How I feel when I realize it's been months since I heard anything from UVA, USC, or Emory.

I just got back from a meeting. I think I'm going to run out the clock instead of work like a responsible employee.

I just applied to USF out of a strange combination of boredom and panic.

I'm super psyched about the return of the sour grapes awards.
But waiting is also the worst, so my enthusiasm is diminished.

Same reasons I applied to UC Davis and Hastings. Middle of January and I had only heard back from three of the schools I applied to, had a fee waiver, two applications submitted.

I'm on the waitlist at Hastings... Sigh.
USF is a toilet. I don't want to go there. But... I can't do this job beyond June either or I'm gonna go postal.

Guys... My office kitchen just got stocked up and we have gushers, fruit by the foot, and fruit roll-ups.
I've died and gone back to third grade.

I spent the past hour gutting my six month old computer and installing entirely new fans since I've been having overheating issues that have been causing total system failures. Near as I can tell, an entirely new set of fans has decreased my computer's average running temperature from 24C to 23C. Yay?
