Took the day off from work to visit my sister's fourth-grade class and it was a fantastic decision. Adult life is terrible. Can I just go back now?

so jelly
Yeah, I definitely don't miss mid-term season. I did my best during UG to avoid classes that had in-class midterms. I know that it'll be hell during finals at law school, but I probably still prefer that to having to take multiple tests.

Also, I was on the quarter system. If you had a class that had two mid-terms, you were pretty much in mid-term season from week two up until finals week. And then every 11 weeks, get thrown into a new set of classes with a schedule absolutely nothing like the one you had the last quarter. Yeah, I don't miss that AT ALL.

My job isn't perfect, but I'd still take it over returning to UG because of the above. Having a consistent schedule and the predictability that comes with it is a wonderful thing. For example, I know when I can plan ski trips :D

I am pro-school in the school versus work debate, but I feel that so much. One of the gen chem courses at my school had a midterm the last day of class. And then you'd come back a week later and take the final.

Oof, yeah even I never had it that bad. But then, I also avoided the hell out of anything to do with chem/bio haha. You're a braver soul than I.

But yes, I think that law school itself will probably be a quality of life improvement over work (finals excluded). For myself, I'm predicting Ideal Career >= Law School > Current Job > UG >>>>>>>>>>> Biglaw Associate.

Oh! Don't give me any credit there--I never actually took the class. My friends were almost all bio majors, so I was just watching them suffer.

Well, in any case, thank you for reminding me of one of my favorite senior year past-times: playing super smash bros and (internally) laughing maniacally while my neuroscience major roommate was crushed under books trying to memorize different neurological disorders.

I'll sign off on you leaving if you sign off for me...

I really shouldn't start complaining yet, it's a 3 day week for me.

I might run a 5000 on the track this spring, first one since college, so I have that to worry about now.

One day apiece?

I'll be at NYU the whole time, I did Columbia a couple weeks back.

Columbia on Wednesday/Thursday, and NYU Thursday/Friday. How'd you like Columbia?
