Sweet. I had all but given up hope for a keychain.thepowerofflight wrote:For me, the admissions packet, book, and keychain were all sent in separate mailings (and in that order).-lemonlyman- wrote:Glad to hear about the keychain!
On a related note, has anyone not gotten a book yet? Maybe some of those were delayed as well along with those admissions packets? I just received my packet last weekend, but still no book (or keychain :p)

Glad you got one, but admissions is def not my area! I just know they sometimes pop in here or to the admissions thread because I've talked to them about TLS before.thepowerofflight wrote:Thank you/[whoever was responsible and is reading this] for the keychainTripTrip wrote:Yes.RZ5646 wrote:I wonder if HLS is watching this thread

What are they trying to glean from that though? Or do they just think it's funny?TripTrip wrote:Glad you got one, but admissions is def not my area! What better way to keep track of confusion and widespread misconceptions than to read about the groupthink in the annual applicants thread on TLS?Dcc617 wrote:What are they trying to glean from that though? Might be foolish of me, but does Harvard require a deposit?

Nope. Or you can do what I did and buy a hoodie that serves the same function (i.e., creates a sunk cost deterring me from committing elsewhere)Oskosh wrote:Might be foolish of me, but does Harvard require a deposit?

No deposit, you just have to fill out the intent to enroll on the admitted students website.Oskosh wrote:Might be foolish of me, but does Harvard require a deposit?
For everyone that has done this already - how long does it usually take to get the confirmation email? Just filled it out this morning.
Also, I got a keychain! I remember some speculation about a design change since I guess the old one had the shield all over it? Now it just has HLS printed on both sides for anyone wondering.
Still no book though, so looks like my shipping order is out of whack from what someone posted here earlier...

Awesome! I had done that already. Just wanted to make sure I took all the steps necessary so that Harvard Law won't rescind my admission.-lemonlyman- wrote:No deposit, you just have to fill out the intent to enroll on the admitted students website.Oskosh wrote:Might be foolish of me, but does Harvard require a deposit?

Just got my aid package and it's basically what I expected - loans. But now I'm just trying to shave down my budget to see how much I can reduce my borrowing. HLS WHY DO I LOVE YOU.

FYI you can cancel loans with no penalty within 120 days of disbursement. I didn't realize this and stressed about it during the summer, only to find out that I could just max out loans to the SFS student budget and then cancel in November based on my own personal projections.slippin_jimmy wrote:Just got my aid package and it's basically what I expected - loans. Thanks! I had heard you could kind of 'give back' funding at the end of a semester, but wasn't aware of this option, too.TripTrip wrote:FYI you can cancel loans with no penalty within 120 days of disbursement. Should I feel exclusive for getting one of the last key chains with the shield, or left out because of the new ones that are going out?
