Where did you end up?

Georgetown. DC is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in DC. Also, have you SEEN the student rec center?!

UT. Texas is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in Texas.

George Washington. Georgetown is great, but G-Dub is in Foggy Bottom and I'd like to eat at ShopHouse as often as humanly possible.

Vanderbilt. Georgetown is too big, and I need to live in a city with actual barbecue.

UCLA. I don't understand why people would voluntarily go to law school somewhere that has winter.

Cornell. I want all of the prestige of Georgetown, but without all of that pesky cosmopolitan culture.

Northwestern. I needed a school that was more business-minded, and also one that has buildings that don't remind me of the USSR.

UVA. DC is great and all, but why live in DC when I can pay cost of living in Charlottesville for three years?

Duke. Mike Krzyzewski. Jay Bilas. Sam Seaborn. Need I say more?

That makes sense if they host on site. Thanks!

What has been the consensus on how long it is between the initial offer and them responding to a request for more money?

How is admitted students day? Running late -- worth going to attend rest of the day's events?

Bit the bullet and sent in my scholarship intent to enroll form - despite their underwhelming offer...

Hoping to get some more leverage (in the form of a t10 admission or increased $$$ from WUSTL) to sway them before the deposit is due.

Is the scholarship form binding?

The general view I got from here is no. It seems like most people are submitting it and then continuing to negotiate until the next deadline.

The form says nothing about withdrawing other applications or from waiting lists (like the optional deposit waiver does) - so I'm going with not binding...

According to LSAC's Statement of Good Admission and Financial Aid practices, found here, http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... oodadm.pdf, you can submit and continue to consider other offers and negotiate.

If you're not going to law school for a year why not retake the LSAT and try to get more $$

What is the average wait time between requesting a scholarship and actually hearing back?

It was less than a week for me. When I asked for an increase, they responded favorably in less than two days.

Good luck!

Ahg, I requested it on the 20th and got confirmation that they had received my request on the 21st.

I got confirmation they received my request on the 10th and nothing since. They just want me to break up with them.

My scholarship amount was pretty low. Maybe they just threw me a bone hoping I would take it and leave them alone.

Maybe they are more thoughtful with larger amounts.

I'm just hoping that since they've done a number of waves, either notification or negotiation, on Mondays that with Friday having been a deadline they're going to send out more this afternoon.

Anyone considered negotiating an opportunity scholarship? It almost feels like it would be in poor taste...

I asked for more. There's no shame in it: a better school offered me more money. If's all just a game and they want to win just as much as we do. With that being said, I asked for more last Thursday and have heard nothing since...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
