+1.

TBH, she probably reads them all but then prioritizes how she responds. At least that's what I'm telling myself, refusing to believe they are just sitting there unread and I am just being forgotten.
I emailed last week after not hearing for a few weeks about my matching, and never got a response.
Followed up this week because my deadline was coming up elsewhere, and got a response pretty quickly.
I'd just email again it worked on my end.

I followed up yesterday- hopefully I will get a response today or else I am depositing elsewhere.

Anyone receive anything today?
I sent my matching app earlier this month and followed up with an email a couple of days after that. Hearing people's success with recent email communication tempts me into wanting to write another follow up but I don't want to seem pushy. Thoughts?

I think it's fine to follow up IF you have deadlines with 7 business days

They have to release some decisions today. It seems like a good deal of us have NYU and Duke deadlines tomorrow and Friday.

Agree that I think Berkeley is prioritizing the really pressing deadlines first. If you've got those Duke/NYU deadlines in the next two days, you definitely should be following up. Otherwise, I'd stick with a "5 business days or less, then email" standard.

I have had two important deadlines that passed without any response from Berkeley, and today makes the third deadline where Berkeley has not responded, despite noting my timeline and following up.
I have zero clues as to how they determine who to respond to and who to not respond to.

Oh wow. Then...I have no idea. Did the deadline for the scholarship they asked you to match pass? If it hasn't, then that's the only possible (albiet bad) reason I could see for the silence. Have you tried calling them? If yes, then that's absurd and holy crap.

Yes, the deadlines have passed. Yes, I called. People's experiences (on this thread, at least) are just wildly different when it comes to response times. Some people get a response within a few hours, others get silence for months. Maybe it has to do with LSAT/GPA numbers? Or whether or not you have committed to the school yet? I can only speculate...

I haven't gotten any response either even though my deadline is tomorrow. I've emailed twice.
I think we all must have given tentative commitments at this point, so that can't be it.

If I were to guess I'd say they looked at your file, want to give you money, and don't currently have any. The respectful thing to do would be to reply and tell you that, but maybe they want to wait to see if they can get some money before the deadline. Still, they should absolutely be replying to emails, I think it's pretty unacceptable that they have been totally unresponsive to so many people.

I got an email back yesterday about need based aid. They pretty much told me that at this time need based aid has been exhausted, and that they are waiting on money from those who decline admissions to reoffer. They also said that funding is "very limited" and that "unfortunately they do not offer grants to all students who qualify." They also said that if you have a deadline prior to April 30 and are unable to secure an extension, then they suggest you make your decision based on the financial package they offered you at that time. Bummer.

Just getting a simple email along the lines of "We've received your email and are in the process of determining your aid package" would help so much and take such little effort, yet they've for the most part ignored emails for many people who have deadlines at other schools either coming up or have already passed. Very inconsiderate.

Thank you so much!

I hope things work out for you too, and that my withdrawal has somehow freed up some funds.

Has anyone heard any news today? Berkeley knows my deadline for my matching scholarship is tomorrow and they haven't so much as even provided me an update as to where I stand with financial aid.

Heard back on my matching recently.. Based on their response I would say they are running out of money (if they haven't already). I will most likely be withdrawing next week and depositing elsewhere. Good luck to everyone, though!

This is scary. I have an April 30th deadline for my matching scholarship, so I don't imagine I'll be hearing this week...Does that mean people with later deadlines may not get matching aid just because the Fin Aid office hasn't reviewed their apps yet? If that's the case, then
