Normally, I would support this, but I want to get to 1000 posts by tomorrow.

I don't like doughnuts, but I'm not huge on MOST cupcakes. However there are some that are out of this world. (looking at you Baked & Wired). I, like Suralin, do not like frosting that much, so Baked at least has killer cream cheese frosting that isn't the focal point of the cupcake.

Wow, I wake up to even more divisive debates ITT. Honestly guys, I'm gonna split the baby and say you can't prefer cupcakes OR doughnuts over the other. Both are individual serving-sizes, raised cake product with frosting/icing product, and the fancy ones come in crazy flavor combinations. I don't see how anyone could truly have a strong preference.

Wait, you don't like donuts or cupcakes? Your life must be so empty.

I don't like doughnuts at all, but I like some cupcakes. I just am not a huge cake person (go pie), so neither are THAT appealing.

Get me some cookies though, and we're in business.

sorry but WRONG, I see your argument but while there are some fancy/decent doughnuts out there, cupcakes go above and beyond doughnuts limitations

Cakes are useless. Cupcakes are small and useless. Doughnuts win by default.
this plus I'm meh on frosting
Yeah, frosting is kind of gross and awful.

Maple Bacon Doughnut is delicious. Maple bacon cupcake is a war crime. End of debate.

I don't understand the cupcake craze, really. Can't you just get a normal-sized cake?

(also frosting is terrible. especially buttercream).
