Re: Columbia Law Class of 2019
Hey! I made an account to double check if anyone else was having trouble logging in after paying the deposit- and it looks like they are! I was freaking out a bit, since I paid the deposit Friday, got a receipt and now I can't log in to make sure I'm good to go! This is what other people are experiencing right? I want to email the admitted email to make a paper trail like others said, but now I can't remember if its admit@columbia or admitted@columbia, could someone help me out?

Not going to lie I was slightly disappointed when I didn't get an email officially welcoming me to the class or anything.

Just made my LawNet account but it still has my UNI as blank. Is this the case for everyone?

Same. Seems like it'd be very easy, and well appreciated.TheKisSquared wrote:Not going to lie I was slightly disappointed when I didn't get an email officially welcoming me to the class or anything.

Just finished all of that too. My UG had multiple sites like this too, I absolutely hate it. It's really that tough to put everything onto one platform?TheKisSquared wrote:well I did the computer 'training' and have my email address and everything now so at least I feel like it's official!frasier wrote:Same. I don't mind too much because I love gapps so that's integrated into my gmail now. I never actually have to log into lionmail again.rska884 wrote:Just finished all of that too. Did you figure out a way to be able to send from it? I got the forwarding set up but haven't figured out how to avoid using it period.TheKisSquared wrote:I don't mind too much because I love gapps so that's integrated into my gmail now. in your gmail just add your lionmail as a 'send as' address (under accounts and import). I added both my uni and alias to be safe, but just the uni did forward an alias to me before I added it.rska884 wrote:Did you figure out a way to be able to send from it? How long did it take people to get their UNIs?

Go there, then go to "Activate UNI or email" and start going through the process. It will ask you like "don't have a UNI, click here" or something to that effect, you type in some IDing info, and it gives you it instantly.

Re: Columbia Law Class of 2019
Yeah, mine says "UNI not found" when I try that. I'm going to assume it's because I only paid my deposit on Friday evening so they're probably backed up and it's a little too soon. I think the handbook said it can take 5-7 business days anyway, I was just wondering if there was anecdotal evidence that it happens sooner.somethingElse wrote:https://cuit.columbia.edu/cuit/manage-my-unibenwyatt wrote:How long did it take people to get their UNIs?

Oh, my bad! Yeah I deposited on Tuesday and just activated it today, but hadn't tried any sooner.benwyatt wrote:Yeah, mine says "UNI not found" when I try that. No downsides to only adding the alias to my main gmail account (for the send-as), right?TheKisSquared wrote:in your gmail just add your lionmail as a 'send as' address (under accounts and import). I did my main one first and now am getting an error when trying to add the alias (which is the one I'd rather have...). Do you think it's not possible to do both?somethingElse wrote: No downsides to only adding the alias to my main gmail account (for the send-as), right?
It took about a week for me to get the email prompt that it was ready to set up.benwyatt wrote:

Shouldn't be a problem to do both...I only added the alias though and tested everything (sending an email as the alias and replying back to it) and it all worked perfectly including the forwarding.rska884 wrote:I did my main one first and now am getting an error when trying to add the alias (which is the one I'd rather have...). I would just add the alias if that's what you plan on using anyway.

Only thing I haven't tried is adding the lawl school address (e.g. first.last@law.columbia.edu).

I never heard back from the office last week on my request for a scholarship bump. Worth bugging them this week?

I got it to work for where I'm sending from, but emails sent to the alias aren't forwarding... This is so frustrating.somethingElse wrote:Shouldn't be a problem to do both...I only added the alias though and tested everything (sending an email as the alias and replying back to it) and it all worked perfectly including the forwarding.rska884 wrote:I did my main one first and now am getting an error when trying to add the alias (which is the one I'd rather have...).
