What happens if an admitted student with a Darrow declines Michigan's offer? Do they extend new Darrow invites or just put the money back into a general scholarship pool?

I think it goes back into the regular pool. There's about 14 Darrow's but I saw wayy more than that at the Darrow breakfast during asw. I'm guessing they overextend offers expecting some people to decline.jsm2015 wrote:What happens if an admitted student with a Darrow declines Michigan's offer? Any Summers out there received more info about what section they are in? I've seen the general schedule posted online but haven't seen any specifics. Do we not hear until Orientation? There are only 34 days left at this point!

I was told by a 3L summer starter at preview that we get an email a week or so before orientation.GFox345 wrote:Any Summers out there received more info about what section they are in? You still have leverage, I believe, since the deposit is not binding.skaw123 wrote:Does anyone know if there's any chance to get more money after putting in deposit based on undergrad gpa increasing? Looking at lawschoolnumbers my gpa was .01-.02 away from the people who got the next level of scholarship money. If my gpa goes up to that after this semester, do you think they'd consider it even though I've lost my leverage.

That sucks, I need to book flights for a wedding and I want to know what my schedule is like so I won't miss class... Any clue on when/where we get a textbook list?Toby Ziegler wrote:I was told by a 3L summer starter at preview that we get an email a week or so before orientation.GFox345 wrote:Any Summers out there received more info about what section they are in? I would email admissions. I am sure they have more specific insight—most of the summer class is likely set—and haven't released it yet.Toodle-loo wrote:That sucks, I need to book flights for a wedding and I want to know what my schedule is like so I won't miss class... Additional question about Summer Start:
If our financial aid packages included $x / semester for a total of $6x / 3 years, we should get that $x for this summer too, right?

Yep, as far as I understand summer start is one of your semesters just like any other. Hence summer starts graduating in Dec if they don't take a semester off anywhere else along the way.Toodle-loo wrote:Additional question about Summer Start:

Starting mine this week. Any tips?basedvulpes wrote:Apartment hunting is a horrible, soul sucking process![]()
Found a few places that are liveable, but coming from a major east coast city I expected more, and cheaper. If I wasn't moving with a SO I would be giving the LC and Munger a serious look.

I had this same problem. It seemed the apartments were either a. affordable, but undesirable or b. desirable and out of my price range. Do I remember you saying that you were moving with pets?basedvulpes wrote:Apartment hunting is a horrible, soul sucking process![]()
