OMG it is a muppet and I mean that in the most adorable, cutest way possibleBirdLawExpert wrote:I appreciate the thoughts, y'all. You're probably right that in some way the humor is just her processing her shift in identity, but the tone deaf (this feels a bit more accurate than racist) nature of her actions is concerning. Hopefully this is just a bad reflex response to the information and her behavior normalizes as she has time to process.
As promised, here are some adorable dog photographs. If you want more, pm me for the insta.

I know exactly what you mean. I've held this dog and I'm still not entirely certain that it's real.TheKisSquared wrote: OMG it is a muppet and I mean that in the most adorable, cutest way possible

Trying to find a place that rents cars/trucks/suv's with a trailer hitch so I can move across the country is making me just want to give up and hide under my desk at work...

U-Haul will rent you a pick-up truck and a trailer. Or you can try one of those modular moving things where they drop off a storage container, you fill it up, and they move it for you?Muiraquita wrote:Trying to find a place that rents cars/trucks/suv's with a trailer hitch so I can move across the country is making me just want to give up and hide under my desk at work...

Can't do pick-up trucks through uhaul for 1-way trips. and the modulars are anywhere between 2500 & 4000.BirdLawExpert wrote:U-Haul will rent you a pick-up truck and a trailer. I would call or poke around to make sure 'towing power' means what I think it means.

Yea I'm calling all the different agencies. A lot of them don't do 1 ways, or don't do 1 ways beyond a certain distance (I'm doing coast to coast). And then most of the normal agencies don't allow towing because of the risk of damage.
We'll see. It's all part of the fun of law school moving.

I vote for selling all of your shit/mailing and flying with whatever you need vs. renting a uhaul cross country.

Yeah, if you can't do the modular thing then I'm on team "take only what you can fit in your car".somethingelse55 wrote:I vote for selling all of your shit/mailing and flying with whatever you need vs. renting a uhaul cross country.

If all else fails, check out Amtrak's shipping. My friend used it last year to move DC to Berkeley. Here are some random blog posts on it:Muiraquita wrote:TheKisSquared wrote:http://www.budget.com/budgetWeb/html/re ... ental.htmlMuiraquita wrote:Trying to find a place that rents cars/trucks/suv's with a trailer hitch so I can move across the country is making me just want to give up and hide under my desk at work...

If I a. had a car, b. didn't have nice expensive relatively new furniture, and c. didn't have my dog (who's too large to fly), I would.BirdLawExpert wrote:Yeah, if you can't do the modular thing then I'm on team "take only what you can fit in your car".somethingelse55 wrote:I vote for selling all of your shit/mailing and flying with whatever you need vs. renting a uhaul cross country.
I've got to drive no matter what because of the dog, so I might as well take a uhaul or something similar. Since the cost difference isnt enough to cover the loss I'd take on the furniture.

try separate rentals? rent it 1 way and then get a new rental at the furthest point they'll allow 1-way... doesn't sound fun but could workMuiraquita wrote:If I a. had a car, b. didn't have nice expensive relatively new furniture, and c. didn't have my dog (who's too large to fly), I would.BirdLawExpert wrote:Yeah, if you can't do the modular thing then I'm on team "take only what you can fit in your car".somethingelse55 wrote:I vote for selling all of your shit/mailing and flying with whatever you need vs. renting a uhaul cross country.

I looked at that. Most of them are either by state/region, so I think the farthest I could make it was Lubbock haha.

He came and trained some of our new cadets as a guest when we had some behavioral issues. I can safely confirm two things: (1) when anybody in the military gets quiet like he did when he said "run", that's when you know you're in deep shit, and (2) he was holding back very much for the cameras. Dude is a killer.rska884 wrote:That was great.BirdLawExpert wrote:Everyone please enjoy this video of a DI that I know narrowly avoiding murdering a future USMC recruit.![]()

have you looked into getting your dog registered as an emotional support dog? My friend travels with his massive rottweiler/lab mix simply because he got a psychiatrist to say that the dog helps him with anxiety.Muiraquita wrote:If I a. had a car, b. didn't have nice expensive relatively new furniture, and c. didn't have my dog (who's too large to fly), I would.BirdLawExpert wrote:Yeah, if you can't do the modular thing then I'm on team "take only what you can fit in your car".somethingelse55 wrote:I vote for selling all of your shit/mailing and flying with whatever you need vs. renting a uhaul cross country.

That seems.. unethical to do if it's not true.ssitt wrote:
