Yeah I know a lot of people who did that, it's always a good choice. If for no other reason than to just hang on a warm beach in Tel Aviv or Eilat

The brainwashing isn't too bad, they just want to get people to move there and marry Jews. If you just focus on sightseeing and drinking you'll be OK.
I won't mention my Irish Catholic-now-Atheist SO

In all seriousness, they won't care. It's a numbers game - put enough Jewish 20-25 year olds in one place with a lax alcohol policy, you'll get a few couples.

Same! Some law schools have something called OWLS for people ~5+ years out of undergrad, if you want to find/commiserate with fellow elderly nerds at your school.

They seem pretty lax. My friend told a story about someone on her trip that actually prompted me to apply (I'm only Jewish on my mom's side and thought they were more strict):

Girl: Ooh do they have matzo ball soup in Israel?
Guide: Only around Pesach
Girl: oh okay. Where is Pesach? Are we going there?
Guide: ....

Haha sounds about right. Pretty sure they're also fine with the Jewish relative being further back than parents anyway, not to mention - you're technically Jewish under Jewish law (there's no such thing in the Orthodox community as "half-Jewish", there's only your mother is or isn't Jewish).
