Really happy to see your progress as a tls poaster. New 'tar, new banner, new post; the bobcat is on the prowl!

Also, I'm pretty sure that all of the "No" answers to the poll fall under the "bad taste in law schools" category ;)

(obviously kidding, you all do you)
Thanks! It came about as the combination of a slow day at work and the realization that I need a more fitting pic. A flying (superhero??) bobcat in the is just so much more ME.

Agreed. The new tar perfectly suits an accidental felon.

Oh, never mind. I thought you were the one who told Stanford you were a felon by mistake, but that was Cold Monkey maybe. I get my [adjective animal] TLSers confused. My bad.

Yeah, I was thinking you might be confusing me for him. But all of my felonies have been intentional.

Where is everyone buying their HLS apparel? I ordered some T-shirts from the Coop but they're totally out of stock. I'm also looking to buy a rearview window decal for my car so I can finally get a lil' respect on the road.

You might want to hold off on buying merch until they decide on a new crest.

I encourage everyone who is on campus for ASW this weekend to talk to a lot of students, including those who aren't the ones who are already there to talk to you, about what's going on around campus. If you don't know what I'm talking about yet, you will. It's important and is probably one of the only real things you will see this weekend about the school. But there are a lot of different viewpoints and it's crucial that you hear them all.

Yes, that was what I figured she was referencing. Not sure though. I have been reading about it for a little while now. It would be interesting to have a current student's perspective.

Well, the environment on campus certainly isn't healthy so that's a negative. If you guys want fuller discussion you should post in the Harvard student ?s thread

I'm going to post something in that thread now, and hope to get some discussion going. Though the first ASW is this weekend, so I'm not sure how many prospective students will join in right away. Hopefully some current students can weigh in though and it will be on the record.

Uhh, what cities are y'all from? Would love to meet up with anyone in Philly!

Also, unrelated, anybody do mock trial in college? Wondering if there'll be any other former competitors at HLS this year.
Resurrecting a dead post, but a mocker can't resist. I'm on my 4th year now, going to Nats in SC in two weeks (which means I unfortunately can't make the ASW).

Rather than being cryptic (what's the point of that, exactly?) can you shed some light on what's going on, for those of us who can't make asw?

ETA did some research, background info at HLS record. Clearly not something that should dissuade people from attending, IMO. Not like the Dean is being sued for sexual harassment or anything crazy like that . . .

i saw that one of you guys posted in the harvard student q's thread, but i thought i'd give a diff answer here since the other post didn't mention questions about reclaim specifically. i completely agree with MD that you should make the time to talk to some current students this weekend about reclaim and other things going on around campus. what's happening now will likely continue to affect the environment on campus when you arrive in the fall, long after you've forgotten whatever it is they say to you at asw events. however, i don't think it's something that should dissuade you from coming to hls...it's an important conversation that the campus is having, and it's a conversation that i think many other campuses should be having as well. has it affected the environment on campus? yes, but honestly, if you wanted to avoid it, you could 100% avoid it.
