I was given a "wait til after deposit deadline" and an extension on my own deadline.

I withdrew today, so there should be some more money up for grabs.

Thanks! Michigan was my second choice, so sending the email stung a little. Finishing up this application/negotiation/selection process is definitely bittersweet.

I negotiated a competing offer from a peer school, but I wasn't given aid to begin with. They didn't even match it, by a lot. I'll be withdrawing soon, so hopefully it goes elsewhere.

I was initially given a small merit scholarship and used a scholarship from a peer school to negotiate. My other offer was double the amount offered by Michigan, and Michigan matched the offer.

Same situation--they didn't match, but given COL differential, it was essentially a match.

Considering the COL differential (and slight prestige difference), Michigan probably should have beaten my other offer.. but I guess I can't really complain

For those who negotiated (successfully or unsuccessfully) how long did it take for them to get back to you?
