Pretty sure it was a dream until I get that. I honestly can't even remember what they said to me on the call.voldypoo wrote:Checking in! Has anyone received the email yet that got in yesterday?

Same here. I keep checking my incoming calls history to verify that I did in fact receive a call from Cambridge. My parents asked me what Nefyn said to me, and besides remembering him saying that it was ok for me to cry, I could not for the life of me remember anything else.jtg21 wrote:Pretty sure it was a dream until I get that. QC: Much better now!
TR: *chuckles* Ah so you know why I'm calling?
QC: Boy, I sure hope so!
TR: *laughs louder and proceeds to tell me I'm accepted*
QC: *thanks him about 23 times and worries that I came off as presumptuous by assuming that the call meant I was in*

I'm only reassured by the fact they don't reject or waitlist you over the phone. Also, I can't for the life of me remember if I said thank you and it's been nagging at me. Hopefully some basic social skills kicked in.QuentonCassidy wrote:TR: Hey *name* this is TR from HLS; how are you doing?Hildegard15 wrote:Same here. Re: Harvard C/O 2019
After JS asked me the first "how are you doing" questions, I interjected with "Who is this?". She was really surprised that I didn't realize it was a JS2 (I knew damn well who it was lol).QuentonCassidy wrote:TR: Hey *name* this is TR from HLS; how are you doing?Hildegard15 wrote:Same here. Re: Harvard C/O 2019
I used the "much better now" line exactly. They are probably used to that level of elation and not offended at all. I mean, of course that's why they're calling.QuentonCassidy wrote:TR: Hey *name* this is TR from HLS; how are you doing?Hildegard15 wrote:Same here. Has anyone else received a book in the mail from Jessica Soban and/or a professor at HLS?

Yay, congrats! I'm glad everything worked out perfectly for youQuentonCassidy wrote:Just withdrew all of my other applications. It's a freeing experience.

By the way, noob question, how did you withdraw from your other apps? I'm thinking about withdrawing from a couple of them at this point; do you just email all of the admission offices?

Re: Harvard C/O 2019
Hahaha I will admit that I had that exact same question, so definitely don't feel bad about asking it. The information I got (and what I did) is to just email the general admissions inbox at each school and give a brief, cordial message along the lines of "thank you for the offer, but I must withdraw my application because I have decided to attend another law school." Make sure it has your name (as it appears on you application) and your LSAC ID # and you're golden.Timantha wrote:Yay, congrats!
