Same, and I am relatively pleased. Tyrion is by far my favorite character in GoT, but I detest his sister and father and oscillate when it comes to his brother.

I wouldn't go that far but I would say I like Jaime a lot better in the books than in the show, given that one rape scene.

I wouldn't go that far but I would say I like Jaime a lot better in the books than in the show, given that one rape scene.

The rape scene was awful. They also gutted his character development in the fifth season and it looks like it's going to get even worse in the sixth (before potentially getting better), which I hate. His arc in the books is, in my opinion, the most compelling, though. And he's a badass.

You're missing the point. The reason that scene was so awful wasn't just that it was a rape but that it was completely incongruous with Jaime's character and ruined what was a really a more interesting scene in the book.
