finally took it...

Gryffinclaws like you are rare in the wild, but you’re easy to recognize as a Gryffinclaw because you’re bold, outgoing, and a natural leader. Your ambition and your drive to change the world are powerful forces inside you, but they’re tempered and softened by your knowledge and your understanding, as well as your keen wit and sense of humor. If they haven’t already, somebody should probably put you in charge of something big.

Your friend sounds like somebody who isn't going to watch the new season of Game of Thrones because he doesn't want it to spoil the magic of the books.ChervonaKatya wrote:Is there a particular sorting hat quiz that's better than others for Harry Potter houses? I don't fully understand his reasoning, but something along the lines of I'm a loyal person and nice and tend to get people to stop arguing. He also said I get more excited about happy things than most people do (rescued animals, random acts of kindness, etc). I feel like this just describes Midwesterners. He identifies as Slytherin, if that provides any insight?suralin wrote:why does he think you're a hufflepuff?ChervonaKatya wrote:Is there a particular sorting hat quiz that's better than others for Harry Potter houses? Well, the last two nights I've engaged in some pretty heavy post-work drinking with my co-workers. So I'm feeling like giving my liver some much-needed rest tonight. My girlfriend is making a cheese CAKE tonight, so I think I'll just eat about half of that and slip into a coma.schocolate wrote:aah, congrats! how are you going to celebrate?GFox345 wrote:GUYS IT'S MY LAST DAY OF WORK! hm yeah he's not being a v good pedant. here's the best canon-conforming description of the houses http://pottermoreanalysis.tumblr.com/po ... by-requestChervonaKatya wrote:I don't fully understand his reasoning, but something along the lines of I'm a loyal person and nice and tend to get people to stop arguing. in general I think sorting by "extrinsic traits" is silly and it's much more useful to consider intentions/motivations. eg all 4 archetypes may well spend time reading a book, but a gryffindor may do it to fight evil or some such silliness, a hufflepuff to keep their friend company, a ravenclaw bc knowledge is its own reward (a terminal value), and a slytherin to gain power or further a plot

No yeast, no cake.
Unless I'm wrong because I don't really understand baking.
