It wouldn't have anything to do with this, would it? http://mashable.com/2014/01/13/internet ... ycFQo5LPq8WinterComing wrote:Ha! I don't think it would compromise my anonymity to admit that the name we've picked is not Megatron Doge.capricasixx wrote:It wouldn't have anything to do with this, would it? http://mashable.com/2014/01/13/internet ... ycFQo5LPq8WinterComing wrote:Ha! Looks like it is going to happen whether I want it to or not, so sure, go for it. My wife will be either amused horrified, but either way it will make for some amusing dinner conversation.BirdLawExpert wrote:WinterComing wrote:Ha! I mean that's fine, I get that, but I think you should let us name your baby.

Maybe you could post a list of names where one is the real one but the other ones are fakes, and then we could vote and you could see if we picked the right one?WinterComing wrote:I don't think it would compromise my anonymity to admit that the name we've picked is not Megatron Doge.capricasixx wrote:It wouldn't have anything to do with this, would it? http://mashable.com/2014/01/13/internet ... ycFQo5LPq8WinterComing wrote:Ha! ETA: If we do have a boy someday though, I'm liking Thurgood.
ETA2: And by "someday" I mean several years after I've finished law school because doing it with one kid will be tough enough. No siblings for you anytime soon, child to be named by TLS.

This makes me feel better about having Hastings as a target... Not that I'm aiming for SCOTUS, good lord.jumbo2016 wrote:UCLA Law shared this article on facebook. Thoughts? http://www.nationallawjournal.com/id=12 ... 0122183157

It's probably pretty bad that I feel like I'm running out of material to browse on TLS at work. Already read through the "Ask a 1L/2L/3L" threads for all of the schools that I'm seriously considering, I've gone through quite a bit of the Legal Employment forum, and I've done the "Choosing a Law School" forum to death.
Impatiently waiting for ASW season to kick into gear so I can have a substantive break from work.

Honestly I really hope that Obama appoints a non-Ivy Justice. Everything he talks about with ensuring his legacy via the court could be amplified by a concerted effort to increase the court's academic diversity.capricasixx wrote:This makes me feel better about having Hastings as a target... I kind of wish TLS had chat rooms so I wouldn't have to sit here refreshing the page to see if you guys really exist.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
