I;m gonna knock that out this evening. Seems like every day is a bunch of technical paperwork of some sort--cant wait to just start school!

Yup, finished here. Started to put together a detailed budget for the fall last night.

Living on a poor student budget again stresses me out!

Same here. Fortunately my rent and utilities are going to be pretty cheap.

Are other folks budgeting for professional attire for interviews and such?

If I'm remembering right, they're $250.

I'm assuming that's per semester.

Is everyone here going to go with the University health insurance or are you trying to find coverage elsewhere. I think the University plan is around 3k for the whole year.

I believe so. We need a zone 2 permit for the adjacent lot and the garage across the street (I'm pretty sure) Also I can't seem to find where I saw this info on the prices earlier. (I found info from 2014 saying the permit cost was $444/year)

I'm staying on my parent's as long as possible. I managed to get a waiver even though I'll turn 26 during 1L.

I did look at coverage elsewhere, though, and the university insurance seems to be the best bang for your buck.

ETA: Does anyone know when we'll be registered for classes and be able to see what books we need? I don't think I've seen a date for this anywhere.

Also a 25 year old who'll be turning 26 during 1L here, doing the University plan.

I've heard we will have that info sometime in July. I can't remember if there was a specific date. I'll see if I can find it.

"Entering first-year J.D. students are provided access to the VLS intranet after July 1 (if you claim your Vanderbilt account after July 1, you will have access to the intranet one business day after activation). There you will find the law school academic calendar, schedules, internal announcements, directories, and other Law School resources and information as well as links to YES (Your Enrollment Services) for your class schedule, bill payment, and other enrollment services."

Ah, thanks for this. I remember reading it now but didn't connect access to the intranet with class schedules. Thanks!

I'm leaving a teaching job, so I've never paid for health insurance. I'm also riding out my parents' as long as possible, but age will catch up with me sooner rather than later... sigh.

Yeah, when I went up to the school a couple of weeks ago, one of the advisors said grad student passes were a little over 400

Paid the second seat deposit yesterday. Thinking about driving up to Nashville next weekend and checking the city out some more and maybe (if I can get tickets) go to one of the Vandy NCAA baseball tournament games.

Their baseball team is really good. They won the championship two years ago and came in second last year.
