I really need to get glasses before I go, but I'm also very much putting it off. I've gotten a bit nearsighted the last few years; not bad enough to affect my day-to-day living in any way, but enough to make it difficult to read tiny words from the back of a classroom. I'll probably continue to deny having a problem, and just settle for sitting near the front of the class. Added benefit of maybe making me pay better attention instead of just browsing the interwebs and messaging during lectures.

This was me a few years ago. Finally decided to get glasses when I could no longer read the scores of games I was watching.

Don't really watch sports on a regular basis, so I'm now confident I can go the rest of my life putting this off! (Or at least until I'm well off enough to get laser correction or something)

I used to be freaked out by the machine at the optometrist that would puff air into your eye to measure pressure (??) but the last time I went they told me to relax because they replaced that machine with one that just reaches out and pokes your eyeball instead.

I paid $40 at my last eye appointment to use a fancy machine so I didn't have to get dilated. I had too much shit to do at work to be basically blind for 3 hours.

I have always wondered why they haven't come up with an eye-dilation formula that doesn't last for so long! It's so inconvenient to be out of commission for hours when the exam only takes like 15 minutes.

As promised last week, here is a picture of my beard at current growth levels. Trimming it today so I don't look too much like a medieval archer when I fly out to visit a school this week. I already trimmed the mustache, because it was pretty gnarly and I didn't want photographs of it to exist
[+] Spoiler
You done missed it.

Wow the "Ask a Law Student" section is grim. Is there any part of this forum not this thread that's not terrifying and depressing?

Just stay here, the Jane the Virgin thread, and the houseplant thread. Nowhere else matters.

OH! I've been watching Jane the Virgin! I have opinions about it now! I'll go find the place I'm supposed to post them now.

Well guys, the jig is up. My manager just sent an email out to our whole team saying that we need to let her know if we have to work from home on a given day. I don't know for certain that it was directed at me but I think there's a strong likelihood. So basically life is terrible.

Although I did get away with working from home for almost a month... So that's something. Fingers crossed I have to report in for jury duty next week.

Thoughts on spending a good chunk of the work day facebook creeping future classmates from your school's class of 2019 pages?

Also, I think I found Birdlaw.
