I got mine yesterday too! I have an apartment a little less than a mile from the school. I'm going to try biking there and back and see how it goes.Confusedlawkid wrote:Just received my reimbursement in the mail. Are you guys living close to campus?

I got a place a few blocks from the law school. i've been out of school for a few years now and i want the beginning to be easy. i remember one thing i often relied on in college was having the ability to walk to class quickly.
i also want to bust ass so having the option to dip from the library to hang in my apartment for a bit is nice

Is anyone considering the Metropolitan? It's listed in the OD - about a 10 minute drive up West End to VLS.

from the handful i visited:
artisan on 18th-good, pricy but good, luxury
americana-really sketch, only if youre really really trying to be cheap IMO
20th&grand-good, newish remodeled apts, still kinda pricy
midtown-ppl sucked, didnt have real leasing office, lots of complaints from tenants about paper thin walls so didnt bother
anyone considering any of these feel free to PM me if u have questions

Midtown also really pissed me off when I was in Nashville. 20th and Grand was good I didn't like construction, I also don't really feel comfortable with how they are leasing out apartments.do_me_a_favor wrote:from the handful i visited:

Might have to go a little farther out. I didn't know we could ride public transit for free.

what discouraged you about how 20th+grand leased apartments? Just curiousAlexandraHope wrote:Midtown also really pissed me off when I was in Nashville. 20th and Grand was good I didn't like construction, I also don't really feel comfortable with how they are leasing out apartments.do_me_a_favor wrote:from the handful i visited:

But yeah midtown really screwed part of my day up and i just wished I never even called them lol.
im definitely going farther out in year 2 and 3 i think
not that early, July for me. but once moved in I would 100 percent be interested in maybe having a Vandy TLS meetup in july? it would be stellar to meet several of you before we start schoolScalvert wrote:Anybody else moving to Nashville in June?

Well since they are renting out only the remodeled ones, you pay $500 to put your name on a list and after/if a unit becomes available then it's yours.
I was trying to stay wherever I am for all three years so I won't have to move furniture and stuff lol I might stay at West End.

Also for anyone looking, I can recommend the Metropolitan. It's a little farther out, (3-4 miles) but it's nice, and the management is very helpful.

I move to Nashville at the end of July. I'd be down for a TLS meet up before orientation.

I had to call the health dept to get my records. Also found out I needed a second chicken pox vaccination (twenty years apart)SirArthurDayne wrote:Trying to hunt down my immunization records is so much fun.

I got the chicken pox some 24 years ago and I have to get some blood test showing I've gotten it and am now immune.
