lemondrop is allergic to cats guys no cats ITTlemondrop wrote:I'm super super allergic to cats and also hate them and EVERY TIME I am around someone who has a cat, the car comes and FINDS me and jumps on me
They KNOW
The whole "cats are aloof and not affectionate as a rule" thing is kind of a myth. I actually volunteer with cats at my local shelter, and I can say with a large sample pool to back up my findings that female cats are cold bitches and male cats are basically small dogs.ChervonaKatya wrote:I've been wanting to get a dog for so long and miss playing with them so much that I've started to soften on cats...but then I remember how disappointed I would be with a furry ball of expensive apathy and tepid acquiescence to love when what I really want is to play and joy and fun. If anyone has a dog and we wind up at the same school, I volunteer to dog-sit whenever you need. You all are bringing me so much joy at work with your pictures. <3 <3 <3

Anecdotally, my cat fetches, comes when called, waits at the door for us to get home, and curls up next to us at night. He doesn't race around at 3am or knock shit over or hide under the bed. Every female cat I've ever had did all of those things on the regular.

I have a girl cat who comes when called, waits at the door for me to get home, and curls up next to me at night. She also races around at 3am, knocks shit over and hides under the bed. She's a bit strange.capricasixx wrote:The whole "cats are aloof and not affectionate as a rule" thing is kind of a myth. (Don't worry, I'm team dog, I was given this cat because she liked me better than the people who adopted her)
These are definitely exceptions and not the rule.rska884 wrote: I have a girl cat who comes when called, waits at the door for me to get home, and curls up next to me at night. She also races around at 3am, knocks shit over and hides under the bed. She's a bit strange.
