Our gunner, who is the gunneriest gunner to ever gun, went off today in Legal Writing about how our professor isn't actually a professor, and is being disrespectful to real professors by using the title. That was....interesting.

Please tell me you go to HLS.

I have so many stories.. He has insulted every single professor we have. My 1L is anything but boring.

Oh dear god please tell.

Let's see, so far he has..

-Accused a professor of being sexist (ironically, the professor was actually discussing the need to remove sexism from the law)
-Told the professor that he (the prof) needed to disclose his bias and conflict of interest while discussing med mal cases, because the prof's last name is the same as a famous hospital, and he assumed there was a connection (there wasn't)
-Criticized a professor for assigning us something that wasn't in the syllabus, and said something to the effect of "Being a lawyer, I would expect you to know to include all assignments in the syllabus"
-Has more than once, when a professor asked "Does anyone know what (random legal term) is," responded loudly "A word" followed by cackles
-Asked a professor to explain the relevance of a meme in a PowerPoint and whether it would be on the test
-When given a hypo about unintentional homicide where someone accidentally killed the queen while intending to kill the king, asked how it was relevant to the course because we don't have kings in the US, then told the professor that it's her responsibility to give us the appropriate jurisdiction when giving us hypotheticals

Just a little sampling. He also laughs and claps when another student gets an answer wrong, which is just lovely and making him lots of friends. I used to feel bad for him and try to be friendly to him, but I've started noticing that his disrespectful comments are focused mostly at the female professors and students, and that's ticking me off.

Also, PSA, don't tell your classmates that you want to be a senator, president whatever. It's a dumb arrogant goal and makes you look like a tool. People keep saying it and it's weird.

One girl pulled him aside and asked him to please stop making comments that were tangential and distractions from the actual topic, and he got super pissed at her and started yelling and asking if she was going to tell every person in class the same thing. She told him no because he is the only one doing it, and he got even madder and kept yelling that he is a student too and can say what he wants, so she panicked and just walked away. After the comment about the Legal Writing prof not being a prof, the TA (a female) told him he was being disrespectful and he started yelling again that it was actually the prof who is being disrespectful by using a title she didn't earn. He gets aggressive (verbally, not physically) really quickly, so no one really wants to confront him.
