Where did you end up?

Georgetown. DC is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in DC. Also, have you SEEN the student rec center?!

UT. Texas is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in Texas.

George Washington. Georgetown is great, but G-Dub is in Foggy Bottom and I'd like to eat at ShopHouse as often as humanly possible.

Vanderbilt. Georgetown is too big, and I need to live in a city with actual barbecue.

UCLA. I don't understand why people would voluntarily go to law school somewhere that has winter.

Northwestern. I needed a school that was more business-minded, and also one that has buildings that don't remind me of the USSR.

Is it fair to assume that we won't hear about merit this week?

I'm kind of hoping they send us our merit aid during next week's Vanderbilt ASW, since that's what Vandy did to students at the UT ASW.

But what I really want is to check my inbox right now and see $$$.

They keep sending me registration reminders for ASW, but I kinda need to know their offer first. I'm already taking three days off next week for Vandy's, and before asking for more time off, it would be nice to know if their offer is going to make GULC a legit consideration. :-/

I'm in the same boat. Would it be rude to call and ask when the offers are coming?

I don't think it would be awful to simply call and ask when you can expect an offer (assuming they don't come out COB today). Please let us know what they tell you if you decide to call!

They said they tried to get them out this week but didn't get them done, so early next week.

Has anyone gotten one? I wonder if they roll them out or send them all at the same time.

Just got a scholarship offer letter - though mildly underwhelming.

Didn't get the feeler - but I did send an email requesting consideration...

PM for details.

ETA: clarity.

Got my scholarship offer! It isn't near what I need to attend but it's my top choice school so here's to hoping they negotiate!! Also.. April 1st is so soon! I thought we'd have until the deposit deadline to consider.

105k. Will be withdrawing. Nothing was going to get me there, truthfully.

Really pleased w/my scholly offer...but the 4/1 date stresses me out given that I have no clue if I will hear from my other contending school by then--and I'm going to ASW on 3/31-4/1...so it doesn't totally make sense. Anyone else in this boat?

I was pleased with my scholly. However, the April 1 deadline strikes me as unreasonable. Are we really unable to get an extension??

I definitely have an asw on 4/7 and I want to complete it before making any decisions. How likely is Georgetown to consider Vandy/Washu scholarships in negotiation?

tappatappatappa wrote:If you didn't request scholarship consideration, will you just not be considered at all? I was admitted after the feeler emails went out so I wasn't sure what the etiquette was... no offer today.

Also, April 1 deadline is absurd.
Also curious about this, I might call the office tomorrow for clarification, because I would like all of my initial offers before negotiating with anyone, but that will not be reasonable if I don't hear from Georgetown until April.

Start negotiating now, kiddos. As in, send that email today. And remember that you can keep negotiating after the deadline. They raised my scholarship once before and once after the deadline last year. Good luck.

Around what date did you ask for scholarship consideration/receive the response that it had been received?
