Did you know that this year is the centennial for the National Parks Service? There's a man who visited the one I volunteer at who told me he was celebrating by visiting 100 National Parks in 2016. I wanted to hug him, but New Yorkers often feel weird about strangers hugging them so I tried to be cool and gave him a high five instead. I was not cool. New way to spend the time post-job and pre-law school?BirdLawExpert wrote:Please don't make me choose.SlithyTove wrote:

Your favorite cake vs. your favorite pie, you can only eat one. What are they and which one wins?Smallville wrote:eh I think it depends on which cake vs which pie... there are some pies that would beat many cakes for me but plenty of cakes that beat out pies

It has a crust like a pie but it's freestanding like a cake.

YES! There's no need to be cool in National Parks, one of the 7,000,000,000 reasons that they are some of the best places on Earth (tied with libraries). You can also get a National Park Passport which you can get stamped every time you go to one. I just found out about this and really want to do it but I'm still pissed that I didn't know about it sooner and missed out on stamps at soooo many places.ChervonaKatya wrote:Did you know that this year is the centennial for the National Parks Service? Honestly stopped halfway through the second season, though I still have every intention of finishing it eventually. Are you a Masterpiece Mystery person like me? Also I'm glad I just wrapped with the Americans so I can get back to Jane! I can't believe I missed the chatter. Agree with muir. Gotta just have both.
