These are good places. Also check out Acme Feed and Seed down on broadway, as well as Honky Tonk Central to get a real Nashville experience with live music and tons of fucking people. If y'all are going to the Preds game, it'll be easier to go drinking on Broadway right afterwards since the arena is downtown.FatherCricket wrote:When I visited a year ago to see my undergrad buddy who lives there, we went to a ton of different places. Losers and Winners (right next door to each other) were fun, but had kind of an undergrad vibe. Rebar was a lot of fun as well, but kind of the same vibe. DeSano was an incredible pizza place that allowed you to bring your own beer or wine. Like I said, I've only been once a while ago, so this might be out of date, but I had a great time at those places.jumbocolumbo wrote:Who has the 411 on cool bars in Nashville?FatherCricket wrote:I'm definitely going as well. We should all meet up on Thursday night.jumbocolumbo wrote:Soooo I'm pretty sure I'm going to the April ASP. I know Abyss is going. Any others? I'm interested in trying some of this Nashville hot chicken I hear so much about. Also wish I could be there Thursday for the Preds game but I'll be getting in too late on Thursday.

The bars on demonbreun street are fun and pretty close to campus.

It would appear Thursday night's Bar review is at ACME Feed and Seed.

This is correct. Acme is probably my favorite bar on Broadway, so y'all should definitely check it out!jumbocolumbo wrote:It would appear Thursday night's Bar review is at ACME Feed and Seed.

Definitely not making it to Bar review tonight. Probably won't be getting into Nashville until midnight.

For those of you who have negotiated (or more aptly, attempted to negotiate), how long did it take for you to receive a response? It's been over a week and I'm debating following up as the deposit deadline looms (probably going to deposit anyway but they don't need to know that, haha).

definitely surprised considering the TLSers saying it doesn't happen and Vandy's initial letter saying it doesn't work. Definitely keeping them in my top 2 still. Moral of the story: nothing to lose by shooting your shot

Looks like I will not being going to Vandy, but if anyone wants to know about a cheap apartment a 15 min walk from the school pm me. I'll be moving out before law school, but if I did vandy I would have for sure stayed. It is a great place right in music row for $775 a month.

Not about the apartment, but I remember you talking about coffee quite a bit. Any places you'd recommend in the Vandy area?Generally wrote:Looks like I will not being going to Vandy, but if anyone wants to know about a cheap apartment a 15 min walk from the school pm me. Revelator is probably the best within walking distance. Crema or BP if you are driving. The Abyss wrote:Not about the apartment, but I remember you talking about coffee quite a bit. What, no love for JJ's?

And jeez, a studio where I was living in Houston was like $1300/month. That's like college town level rent in my head.

I am a coffee snob, sorry haha. And it is really really hard to find places this cheap this close to downtown and vandy. Trust me, I have been trying to move for a year but can't justify the extra $400 to $500.BirdLawExpert wrote:

Hey if we are gonna commit, besides the seat deposit, is there anything else we have to do/send in like a scholarship reservation?

After they get your seat deposit, you'll get an email with some info and a link to a page with a timeline for other requirements (immunizations, health insurance, etc...). You do have to notify admissions with an "intent to enroll" email in mid-July, but I think that info is in the link.kylethedog wrote:Hey if we are gonna commit, besides the seat deposit, is there anything else we have to do/send in like a scholarship reservation?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
