Where did you end up?

Georgetown. DC is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in DC. Also, have you SEEN the student rec center?!

UT. Texas is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in Texas.

George Washington. Georgetown is great, but G-Dub is in Foggy Bottom and I'd like to eat at ShopHouse as often as humanly possible.

Vanderbilt. Georgetown is too big, and I need to live in a city with actual barbecue.

UCLA. I don't understand why people would voluntarily go to law school somewhere that has winter.

Cornell. I want all of the prestige of Georgetown, but without all of that pesky cosmopolitan culture.

Northwestern. I needed a school that was more business-minded, and also one that has buildings that don't remind me of the USSR.

UVA. DC is great and all, but why live in DC when I can pay cost of living in Charlottesville for three years?

Duke. Mike Krzyzewski. Jay Bilas. Sam Seaborn. Need I say more?

I sent one Monday as well. Got a reply yesterday that it was received, so you'll probably hear back soon! Hoping for more movement soon!!

Seems like the general trend is you get a "merit request received" email within a couple business days. I emailed on the 29th and got a response on the 1st.

Thanks for the heads up. Just submitted the form. Still waiting on my parents to fill out their portion of the NeedAccess application though. Pretty irritated they require parental information since I'm an independent and will be receiving no help from my parents for graduate school.

Couldn't agree more. Cornell at least gives an opportunity to waive out of including parental information if you jump through a whole bunch of hoops to demonstrate your financial independence, wish Georgetown had the same option. I'm just hoping they give a lot of weight to the question on the app that specifically asks how much your parents will contribute when it has a $0 next to it.

Same. Got my parents to tentatively fill out their portion, but just waiting on them to file taxes to have their final numbers and resubmit.

Just signed up for ASW. Disappointed that the schedule doesn't include the Docent Session at the Supreme Court, but there are many other exciting events listed. Hopeful to hear back about aid before ASW

I signed up as well. I actually registered over a week ago and all of the Thursday preview classes were already full. :( Maybe I'll check back and see if any open up... I'm with you though, it would be nice to know about scholarships prior to visiting again and getting my hopes up!!

Does GULC offer any refunds for expenses to go to the Open House ? I want to go but flights are pretty pricey.

I emailed them a while ago, and unfortunately they do not offer stipends or reimbursements for travel expenses.

So we're more than a week off for money... this seems to have been the case at a lot of schools this cycle.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
