Oh, well hey. Sup. I'm teaching english now and these kids are taking an entire hour to finish an assignment that would take five minutes if they actually focused.thelostweasley wrote:I'm still here!BirdLawExpert wrote:Nobody is online today. So bored.

I mean, given how much time we spend on here, that's a little bit of a pot meets kettle scenario, no?BirdLawExpert wrote:Oh, well hey. Sup. After becoming the person who had never read/seen Harry Potter (semi-working on it) or seen the West Wing (have now seen series ~7 times) in undergrad, I'm taking advice on things I should read/watch before law school. Anything you think I should seek out?BirdLawExpert wrote:Nobody is online today. So bored.
Set the scene for us a little here. Is this happening in an office environment? Are these people in suits?Smallville wrote:the yelling is still going on, though its back to being comical, the 2 fighting are so egotistical its ridiculous. "YOU ARE WEAK! nah, no suits, theyre not that professional. Our building is like a house (used to be one long ago) the owners office is where this new company is (he's working on moving his office upstairs so he's not in the same room as them) they sell cars, are partners but one deals more with the cars, the other with getting them financed for customers and both think the other is an idiot (they both are....) and are yelling about the things the other does wrong or how useless they areWinterComing wrote:Set the scene for us a little here. I mean, TV-wise Battlestar Galactica is a pretty standard suggestion from me for people who seriously enjoyed the West Wing. Slightly more granular in that the policy decisions made by the core group deal with a very confined group of people, and with the added fun of a persistent and inventive villain. Also, more recently, I'm very much enjoying Madam Secretary and getting some serious West Wing vibes. Also, Veep. Just watch Veep. And if you like Battlestar or Firefly, check out The 100. I'm only a five or six episodes in but it's been pretty good so far.ChervonaKatya wrote:After becoming the person who had never read/seen Harry Potter (semi-working on it) or seen the West Wing (have now seen series ~7 times) in undergrad, I'm taking advice on things I should read/watch before law school. At risk of getting exiled by the internet, can someone explain the hype around Firefly to me? I watched all of it and Serenity, but the camp was too extreme at times for me to "love" it. Like, I can't make it through the opening song without laughing... ever. And most of the episodes are in the same vein.schocolate wrote:Parks and Rec/FireflyChervonaKatya wrote:After becoming the person who had never read/seen Harry Potter (semi-working on it) or seen the West Wing (have now seen series ~7 times) in undergrad, I'm taking advice on things I should read/watch before law school. Books, I think it depends a lot more on your personal preference
