I know I feel so much pressure to find a place in one day! Sometimes craigslist has the best options but I don't want any of those without seeing it first. How does everyone do the proof of income thing since we won't have any? Do you use current income or your parents income or what? Its awkward because my parents definitely aren't helping at all.bab93 wrote:+1...im way behind the 8 ball I guess then. Sorry to continue the long quote bubble, but I feel the same way...I think I am going to go through one of the apartment complexes near campus and just bite the bullet on high rent for the year. The benefits of location could outweigh the costs and hassle of having to drive to campus everyday, and yeah my parents aren't helping at all either. About that time to join the adult world hahajanderson821 wrote:I know I feel so much pressure to find a place in one day! On proof of income, I was given a guarantor form which my parents had to fill out and mail back. I told them I was only allowed to work 10 hours/week (and I'm not sure if I will even be doing that) so they said parental income was fine (even if they aren't helping- they didn't even ask).

This may have been touched on before, but have instructions on how/where to pay your deposit been sent out yet? Anyone know how to go about paying?

Soooo I'm pretty sure I'm going to the April ASP. I know Abyss is going. Any others? I'm interested in trying some of this Nashville hot chicken I hear so much about. Also wish I could be there Thursday for the Preds game but I'll be getting in too late on Thursday.

Not going to the game either. Driving up from Atlanta after work on Thursday and won't get in until 9:30-10.

For those of you who received scholarship, how long did it take you to be notified after the acceptance email?
I was accepted today, super happy since Vandy was my reach school. I am planning on retaking the LSAT in June for my scholarship money though

A couple days after for me, maybe 2? However I was accepted fairly late (a week or two ago)AlexandraHope wrote:For those of you who received scholarship, how long did it take you to be notified after the acceptance email?

And I'm going to give you the other end of the range. Probably three weeks? I honestly don't remember, but it wasn't immediate and it wasn't the week after. You're probably going to get the shorter end of the range, given that deadlines are approaching.The_Lorax wrote:A couple days after for me, maybe 2? Just got the email for seat deposits. Will be depositing this weekend. Also just secured a spot about 2 miles from campus for a great price.

So who's all going to the ASP this Friday?
Also I assume some jeans and a button up or polo is appropriate attire?

When I visited a year ago to see my buddy from undergrad who lives there, we went to a ton of different places. Losers and Winners (right next door to each other) were fun, but had kind of an undergrad vibe. Rebar was a lot of fun as well, but kind of the same vibe. DeSano was an incredible pizza place that allowed you to bring your own beer or wine. Like I said, I've only been once a while ago, so this might be out of date, but I had a great time at those places.jumbocolumbo wrote:Who has the 411 on cool bars in Nashville?FatherCricket wrote:I'm definitely going as well.
