I saw reports that people received scholarship emails on March 2nd last year. Let's hope we are following a similar timeline.lawandorder2019 wrote:Does anyone know when we should expect to hear back about scholarships after getting the feeler email? Mine sits on my monitor stand and yells at me when I'm on facebook instead of Final Draft. I love it.squirtlesquad14 wrote:There is a foam stress-ball bulldog in their swag pack they give out at the admitted students events.JeanLucPicard wrote:What are these little bull dogs people are talking about?

I'm not going to lie, this makes me even more excited about going to the ASW.BirdLawExpert wrote:Mine sits on my monitor stand and yells at me when I'm on facebook instead of Final Draft. It's worth it if only to meet some professors and other 0Ls. The moot of the Supreme Court case was really cool, but a lot of it is just salesmanship.thelincolnlawyer wrote:I'm still deciding whether to go to ASW or an ASD or not. I'm already 100% set on GULC and live right around the corner (with a GULC 2L) so I've been to the campus many times. Those who have went to some events already... Is it worth to go?
Also, it might be worth it for the financial aid seminar since you're already 100%. They're really helpful and walk you through everything.

So if you got accepted after the first round of "what's your price letters", would now be a good time to email Georgetown to petition about scholarship money or is there still time to wait?

I think it's better to just get that first e-mail out of the way ASAP, and give them time to send you a feeler e-mail, after they follow up with the generic e-mail that says they received your inquiry about merit aidcub1014 wrote:So if you got accepted after the first round of "what's your price letters", would now be a good time to email Georgetown to petition about scholarship money or is there still time to wait?

Just accepted today. So we have to email them to say we want scholarships? Or am i misreading this?Willie Beamen wrote:I think it's better to just get that first e-mail out of the way ASAP, and give them time to send you a feeler e-mail, after they follow up with the generic e-mail that says they received your inquiry about merit aidcub1014 wrote:So if you got accepted after the first round of "what's your price letters", would now be a good time to email Georgetown to petition about scholarship money or is there still time to wait?

Congrats! You don't have to, but sending an e-mail that expresses an interest in receiving merit aid is the approach some people are taking.

Re: Georgetown Law Class of 2019
Lurker checking in. After the most disappointing morning with UVA (I was only offered loans), I really need Georgetown to come through with those schols soon! Fingers crossed they follow the pattern and start the first wave this week. I've been between UVA and Georgetown for most of the cycle and was pretty heartbroken to hear I'd be paying sticker at UVA.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
