Where did you end up?

Georgetown. DC is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in DC. Also, have you SEEN the student rec center?!

UT. Texas is the center of everything in the country that matters, so of course I'm going to the best school in Texas.

George Washington. Georgetown is great, but G-Dub is in Foggy Bottom and I'd like to eat at ShopHouse as often as humanly possible.

Vanderbilt. Georgetown is too big, and I need to live in a city with actual barbecue.

UCLA. I don't understand why people would voluntarily go to law school somewhere that has winter.

Cornell. I want all of the prestige of Georgetown, but without all of that pesky cosmopolitan culture.

Northwestern. I needed a school that was more business-minded, and also one that has buildings that don't remind me of the USSR.

UVA. DC is great and all, but why live in DC when I can pay cost of living in Charlottesville for three years?

Duke. Mike Krzyzewski. Jay Bilas. Sam Seaborn. Need I say more?

I saw reports that people received scholarship emails on March 2nd last year. Let's hope we are following a similar timeline.

There is a foam stress-ball bulldog in their swag pack they give out at the admitted students events.

Mine sits on my monitor stand and yells at me when I'm on facebook instead of Final Draft. I love it.

I'm not going to lie, this makes me even more excited about going to the ASW.

It's worth it if only to meet some professors and other 0Ls. The moot of the Supreme Court case was really cool, but a lot of it is just salesmanship.

Also, it might be worth it for the financial aid seminar since you're already 100%. They're really helpful and walk you through everything.

So if you got accepted after the first round of "what's your price letters", would now be a good time to email Georgetown to petition about scholarship money or is there still time to wait?

I think it's better to just get that first e-mail out of the way ASAP, and give them time to send you a feeler e-mail, after they follow up with the generic e-mail that says they received your inquiry about merit aid

At the January open house, SBA had an open bar at Kelly's for like 2 hours Thursday night.

Congrats! You don't have to, but sending an e-mail that expresses an interest in receiving merit aid is the approach some people are taking.

And year before that was March 4th. So odds on this week are looking pretty good.

There are waves though, so not everyone's will come at once? Right?

I'd guess those who responded to the feeler email will get their offers

Lurker checking in. After the most disappointing morning with UVA (I was only offered loans), I really need Georgetown to come through with those schols soon! Fingers crossed they follow the pattern and start the first wave this week. I've been between UVA and Georgetown for most of the cycle and was pretty heartbroken to hear I'd be paying sticker at UVA.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
