They did say that their prices are at least 200 more than they are listed online so that's sketchy already :/

It was a huge disappointment, the lady was very Trump-ish (e.g. "I'm the best, people like me, Woodbury is very well regarded")

Where are people thinking? I appreciate those who put in the hard work of figuring these things out so I won't end up living in a cardboard box

Once you get your class assignments, you may be able to deduce at least your larger section (e.g., ABCD, EFGH, IJKL, MNOP) from the footnotes in the class schedule. You can figure out your subsection if you know your Legal Practice class assignment or have a class with only half your larger section (you'll have one such class during 1L).Li'l Sebastian wrote:When do we get to find out what section we're in?
If you're a summer starter, your section is ABCD.

1. Yeah, not successful. My other offer wasn't substantially higher though or from a school ranked above them (though still in the T14)strawberrieee wrote:1. Anyone tried to negotiate yet?

2. None in particular, though I'm not a huge fan of having a meal plan

found out some stuff about scholarships today talking to the asst. dean of financial aid FYI
" First, I should share that Michigan offers most of its financial aid via merit, rather than need-based, aid." "For merit scholarships, our process is largely based on LSAT and GPA, though we do take other factors into account as permitted."

Anyone with a spouse and/or kids have apartment recommendations? I've looked at quite a few places via web search and the admitted students page, but first hand info would be great. TYIA.

Re: Michigan Law School C/O 2019
I never came across a 9 month option in A2, would have been nice. Leasing companies more or less know they have college kids and students over the barrel, so they stick to the 12 month. Given the option, I'd take the 9 - sublet market is pretty weak (though, I was able to find someone each summer, at a really reduced price). Caveat, I lived right on campus, so Im not sure if this applies equally to the stuff further away. Second caveat, double check that 9 month lease end date, because law school finals extend beyond the end of the undergrad semester (which the lease may be geared towards).James.K.Polk wrote:Does everyone do a 9 month lease?
