Did a 5k today that included a LOT more elevation gain than I was prepared for. The glorious weather almost outweighed the shame of my slow ascent toward the groups of volunteer 15-year-old girls stationed at the top of every major hill to scream "YOU'RE A CHAMPION!!!" and "KEEP GOING" as I struggle-ran toward them. I finished after the power-walking old ladies (
) but before the stroller moms, so definitely champion status.

Oh guys and gals, I was not able to totally catch up on everything but I'm sure I eventually will. Loosing work in an unplanned way a few months before I planned to quit was rough at first. But my quitting-my-job-soon-syndrome is totally gone. Imagine that! Ha. Anyway, settled in back in the south and glad to be in the TLS neighborhood again.
Also seat deposits this week... Yikes. Decision time...

Congrats! And, let's be real, power-walking old ladies are unbeatable in all situations.archipm wrote:Did a 5k today that included a LOT more elevation gain than I was prepared for. Thanks! They were pretty speedy. I hope to use the next five or six decades to transform into a power-walking old lady myself.practical cat wrote:Congrats! I have about 80 days left to work, and then I'm taking all of July off. In the mean time I have to train my replacement and hire two new guys. Other than that, I hope my boss knows. I been here for 15 years, and I've done my due. Cruise control.....ENGAGED!!!

sent an intent to enroll form with a somewhat high likelihood that this will result in a double deposit.

Well, 9 WORK days, but yes! My last day is April 22nd (I am not counting today). I am doing Summer Start at Michigan, so I will have about a month off before Orientation on May 31st. Thank GOD. I could not make it to August.

luckily it's not actually costing me anything because GULC waived my deposit. But it's still nerve wracking and I wish I had all the information I needed -_-Smallville wrote:ew double deposits... Is lounge advocacy a Black letter law class or is it a seminar/clinical course?slippin_jimmy wrote:

oh snap, that's convenient. double deposits are like double bad because it extends the decision making, id go crazy if I had another month+ of figuring out which school Ill be atTheKisSquared wrote:luckily it's not actually costing me anything because GULC waived my deposit. It's definitely a clinic. You learn by doing (and when I say doing, I mean shitposting).EnderWiggin wrote:Is lounge advocacy a Black letter law class or is it a seminar/clinical course?slippin_jimmy wrote:
