Someone accepted an RTK offer on LSN about 8 hours ago. I still haven't heard anything.

Is there a way to search LSN for something like that? Or did you just happen to see an RTK update/follow a user who had applied?gramps wrote:Someone accepted an RTK offer on LSN about 8 hours ago. I still haven't heard anything.

I got the RTK call Saturday evening and accepted today. I don't know if all panels decide that fast or if it was just my panel. PM me if you want more info. Excited to be joining the NYU class of 2019. Good luck to everyone still waiting on scholly info.

I looked at NYU applicant data, sorted by scholarship dollars, and looked for a recent, large amount. The person happened to post detailed updates that included mention of the RTK offer and acceptance. Pretty sure it's the person who just posted ITT.cannonballer wrote:Is there a way to search LSN for something like that? Thanks, that makes perfect sense! Looks like no one else has posted since him.gramps wrote:I looked at NYU applicant data, sorted by scholarship dollars, and looked for a recent, large amount. Yeah that is me. I found LSN frustrating because of the lack of details about timelines and whether scholarships posted were initial offers or negotiated offers so I tried to give people using the data an example timeline of how a cycle might go.gramps wrote:I looked at NYU applicant data, sorted by scholarship dollars, and looked for a recent, large amount. People who have attended an ASW already, what did you think of the weekend? I'm trying to decide if it's worth taking one or both days off work and going, or just visiting on my own when I have a day off.

I actually really enjoyed the weekend and it was a good way not only to meet current students but future admitted students. I say that if you can get the time off, go for at least the main day.anonymous117 wrote:People who have attended an ASW already, what did you think of the weekend? +1, go if you can. I did an individual visit at another school and really couldn't get a feel for it, whereas at NYU's ASW I had the opposite experience. I'd go for at least one day.Iam3hunna wrote:Was totally worth it.anonymous117 wrote:People who have attended an ASW already, what did you think of the weekend? Has anyone (besides Seagan) heard about RTK? I'm dying/losing hope over here!

I'm still waiting to hear back from NYU about financial aid even though Boalt wants me to commit on the 8th (this Friday). I'm not a fan of having all these schools on different timelines. Urgh.

I'm not the first poster in this chain but I'll say that both like 2ish weeks ago when I asked about something else and on Monday I got the same vague answer of "you'll hear in the coming days." I mentioned in my more recent e-mail the timeline issue and they didn't respond at all to that element of my message. Additionally at ASW Dean Kleinrock basically said that they won't necessarily get you your offer before other schools' deadlines...and that they don't really give a crap that that's an issue.ih8makingscreennames wrote:Did you inform NYU of your timeline?YCDAACH wrote:I'm still waiting to hear back from NYU about financial aid even though Boalt wants me to commit on the 8th (this Friday). WEll that sucks. Are they at least email? My fear with some schools is that you will snail mail something out before the deadline but I won't get it.darlenealderson wrote:I'm not the first poster in this chain but I'll say that both like 2ish weeks ago when I asked about something else and on Monday I got the same vague answer of "you'll hear in the coming days." Was admitted about 2 weeks ago. Being close to their deposit deadlines...is it hopeless to see if they have any scholarship funds left this late?
Has any recent admit received anything?? What was the turnaround?

I'm fairly sure that none of us have gotten non-named aid. Correct me if I'm wrong though!IcarusOnWheels wrote:Was admitted about 2 weeks ago. Being close to their deposit deadlines...is it hopeless to see if they have any scholarship funds left this late?

They are email. I received an initial decision from them in the first wave and then tried to negotiate, noting that I had an April 1st response deadline from another school. They didn't give me a response before the deadline and I withdrewih8makingscreennames wrote:WEll that sucks. Are they at least email? Recent admit, I emailed yesterday and they said that the turn around was 10-12 days from when they receive NeedAccess and FAFSA materials. That places about 4/15, which is the deadline to deposit for some other schools.IcarusOnWheels wrote:Was admitted about 2 weeks ago.
