Bruce Wayne update #4
He contends that this is less of a Ra's al Ghul situation and more of an alternate timeline where Bruce Wayne is Robin and I am Batman. I don't have access to the gradebook, but if I did I would change all of his grades to 100. I am leaving the teacher a note with this recommendation.

He's fifteen and he has a Batman backpack; he completely owns the Bruce Wayne thing. When I read out his actual last name for the roll nobody knew who I was talking about.Smallville wrote:wow... that is just fantastic lol how old is this kid?BirdLawExpert wrote:Bruce Wayne update #4

Also, I flubbed the math earlier, he was born in 2001.
Unfortunately I don't have him for the afternoon, so my tutelage of Batman is coming to a close.

See, I had you pegged as more of an Alfred personally.BirdLawExpert wrote:Bruce Wayne update #4

In other news, Jezebel and Deadspin swapped writers for the day and it is literally the greatest thing of all time.

We just had a potluck (almost every item had bacon in it which makes me actually kind of sad to leave this place) and I was afraid I missed the wedding but lo and behold! No wedding. What's the hold up?

If you are thinking about creating a thread in the coming weeks that has the potential to similarly devolve into the current "SLS v HLS v Columbia $$$ v NYU $$$" one please don't

It's awfully quiet around here today guys. What gives?
I'm stuck in the Pep Boys waiting area while my car gets an alignment job, watching "The Talk" which is apparently a low-rent version of The View with Sharon Osbourne, who eerily has not aged since The Osbournes was on TV.

That is truly awful. It started bad and rapidly devolved to worse.EnderWiggin wrote:If you are thinking about creating a thread in the coming weeks that has the potential to similarly devolve into the current "SLS v HLS v Columbia $$$ v NYU $$$" one please don't

If you are someone who likes to trade on terminology like "lower Ivy" you might not think it's as distastefully self-indulgent as some doBirdLawExpert wrote:I completely avoided that thread but now I'm interested.rska884 wrote:

I expected more insanity out of that thread. The lower ivy post was funny though.BirdLawExpert wrote:Oh no I mean I'm interested because everyone involved sounds insane.EnderWiggin wrote:If you are someone who likes to trade on terminology like "lower Ivy" you might not think it's as distastefully self-indulgent as some doBirdLawExpert wrote:I completely avoided that thread but now I'm interested.rska884 wrote:

HE TOOK TAEKWONDO FROM MY OLD MASTER, AND HE COMPETES FOR THE GYMNASTICS STUDIO I USED TO COACH AT.
1. I am literally Bruce Wayne's teacher.
2. I learned martial arts from his current master before he did.
3. I used to coach at the gymnastics studio he competes for, and I likely coached him (Wayne is his middle name, so I wouldn't have known at the time).
Given these facts, we can safely assume that I am Ra's al Ghul.

I'm just sitting here waiting for the IRS to give me my tax refund so I can start shopping for a law school laptop.
Anybody know what they're going to take next year? Kind of tempted by Surface Book at the moment, but I hear that pretty much everyone just uses macbook pros.

My MacBook is 6 years old and i just had the hard drive replaced, but I'm still debating whether or not to get a new one. I personally will probably stick with a MacBook because this one lasted incredibly well.BirdLawExpert wrote:I'm just sitting here waiting for the IRS to give me my tax refund so I can start shopping for a law school laptop.

Everyone uses macbooks, but I can't bring myself to. Either a surface pro (a friend has one he is selling) or some Acer laptop I pick up from microcenter.BirdLawExpert wrote:I'm just sitting here waiting for the IRS to give me my tax refund so I can start shopping for a law school laptop.

I have a great desktop I built myself so no need for a ton of power.
