Good to see. I like that the ATL rankings are job/career focused. I wonder how much of the improvement is due to improvements in the school, versus improvements in the Florida economy over the last year. Since so many schools are only competitive in their region the ATL rankings are partially a reflection of how US economic growth is distributed.

Edit: For example, NM had a huge drop of 18 slots, and the state economy has been lagging the rest of the US:

Edit Edit: Utah had the same size drop, but the Utah economy looks like it's doing fine.

Realized I was going to law school after graduation because the director of my undergrad program asked me a gazillion times when I was going to go to law school and stayed on my ass to give it a shot. Then after meeting and befriending several attorneys they all suggested I give it a go also. Starting looking into and realized it's something I want to do and now here I am!

I'll never get over the fact that we didn't get 6 seasons and a movie

Yeah, Donald Glover kinda punched out of the show and left a whole that I don't think was ever quite filled.

Decided to go back to school after a year at a horribly boring but reasonably well-compensated job (I'll buy the first correct guesser a reasonably-priced beer). I’ve known a number of lawyers over the years and I’ve always thought I’d be good at it. So I did more research on the profession, decided it was something I wanted to do, and took the LSAT in February (scary!).

I register my guess that you're a banker.

Interesting guess. Do you think I'm retail or corporate?

I'm guessing corporate.
That makes you both wrong!
Since we have two more months to do this, and there's only about four regular posters, you can both keep guessing!

My second guess is an accountant.

Yeaahhhhh, those days starting at 7/730 are going to suck for me. I'll have to leave my house by 0530 to get there by 7am. It also depends on whether attendance at breakfast is mandatory, I don't eat that meal anyways. That being said, I'm pretty excited right now!! I've got about 30 days left, and I started training my replacement today officially, so it's a downhill ride from here for me.

Oh dang! Are you not moving closer before orientation? That drive is gonna suck if you have to make it every day for classes
After deducting vacation days and weekends, I only have 28 work days left!!! They should probably start looking for my replacement soon...
No, I am not moving closer, I am not in a position to allow a move right now, so yes I will be commuting an hour or so each way. I notice that most classes don't start until 9 or so (unless I get jammed in Section 3) so that's really not a huge problem for me. Then add on that in 2L/3L there are no Friday classes (for the most part) and it's only 4 days a week I have to commute. Most likely I'll spend the entire day in Gainesville and then commute home at the end of the day. I have family that lives in Gainesville so if I need a place to stay there, I can work that out. The other fact of the matter is that unless I land a really well paying gig here in my hometown, I'll have to commute to work as well, so I might as well get used to commuting!

Has anyone found the link to pay the ILSP fee? I can't find it on the website and am just assuming that they'll email us all the link once they upload it today.

Anyone hear back about the Law Preview scholarship? They're supposed to get back to us "on or before June 1st."

Yeah, it says the registration link will go live June 2016, my guess is that you'll be able to pay via that registration link.

Do you guys remember if it's June or July 17th that they send them out? I could've sworn it was June, but someone in the FB group said July.
I think I have it written down in my notes from ASD somewhere but I'm stuck at work and it's bugging me!
ETA: I
LOVE color coding!
The website says "BY July 15". A friend who just finished her 1L year said she got her schedule in late June- fingers crossed!!
I'd guess they make schedules for those who pay the next deposit and have their holds cleared first?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
