For those who are K-JD, are you just largely taking the summer off? I'm thinking of just relaxing and waitressing in my hometown but I feel pressure to get an internship or something that can go on my resume. The consensus seems to be to chill but I was just wondering what people are doing specifically after graduating

I mean, I want to save as much money as possible so I'll have to work so I'm thinking of taking a seasonal retail job or something like that.skaw123 wrote:For those who are K-JD, are you just largely taking the summer off? Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I'll probably go back home if I can find a subletter for my current lease (if anyone you know needs summer housing in the boston area HMU). I work seasonal retail so if I can get rehired there I'll do that, but I haven't applied for any internships or anything. Working without pay when I've already gotten into law school sounds like hellApplesauce11 wrote:I mean, I want to save as much money as possible so I'll have to work so I'm thinking of taking a seasonal retail job or something like that.skaw123 wrote:For those who are K-JD, are you just largely taking the summer off? That's what you're gonna be doing your 1L summer and 2L depending on your career goals. Don't think the summer before law school is gonna impact your resume much if you're already in. I'd rather spend it making/saving money or relaxing/travelling. Enjoy this momentary freedom, you won't see much more of it for a good long while.skaw123 wrote:For those who are K-JD, are you just largely taking the summer off? I should LSAT tutor. Are you doing it through a company or just on your own?

Im in between i work with a small company. The lady i work for only has a couple of tutors so i get a lot of freedom with how i teach. I didnt want to teach for a big company because i self studied for the test and i hate a lot of their approaches to teaching it. Plus im lazy and i get to tutor over skype from my room and pants are optional there.

I'll be working part of the summer, then taking time off to travel, see family, move, etc.

Are you guys all on the east coast? I just got to work. Giving a presentation in fifteen minutes then I'm looking at a solid 7.5 hours of TLS and Reddit.

Fucking what. Okay, new plan. McGill or bust. My family is Acadian so I should get residency pretty quick, right?coldmonkey13 wrote:University of Toronto or McGill.BirdLawExpert wrote:Yeah, what's the HYS of Canada and how do I apply as a foreign student?
As a Quebec resident, McGill costs about 4500 a year. If your parent is a staff at the university, it costs 1600.
