Almost definitely gonna end up here.
It's been a while since anyone reported testing the "we don't negotiate" line. Has anyone has any luck?

Yes. Granted, it was a (slightly, still in the T14) lower-ranked school, and not a crazy amount more than my Michigan scholarship. No luckmabes wrote:Almost definitely gonna end up here.

If I haven't gotten a scholarship email after a week, is that a good indicator that I'm not getting one? Seems like most people said they had theirs within five days. I wouldn't be surprised with my numbers, but I am still curious.

I received mine about 10 days after I was accepted, so definitely give it the full two weeks.Navyhornguy wrote:If I haven't gotten a scholarship email after a week, is that a good indicator that I'm not getting one? I received the admit email on 2/23 and got the scholarship email 3/3. Their website says around 2 weeks after admittance so I wouldn't give up just yet!Navyhornguy wrote:If I haven't gotten a scholarship email after a week, is that a good indicator that I'm not getting one? It'll be like Christmas. I haven't seen any snow this winter, because I'm living in Texas.

Where are you guys looking to live? My budget is a soft $1600 for a 1-2BR (assuming I have a roomie).

I already put in my reservation for the lawyer's club. It's one of the main reasons I'm super excited. It'll be nice to only have a four minute walk from my bed to classes. Especially once the cold weather hits.James.K.Polk wrote:Where are you guys looking to live? My budget is a soft $1600 for a 1-2BR (assuming I have a roomie).

If I'm there this fall, pretty positive I'll be at Woodbury Gardens because of its shuttle and pet allowanceJames.K.Polk wrote:Where are you guys looking to live? My budget is a soft $1600 for a 1-2BR (assuming I have a roomie).

It's at the top of my list for both of these reasons. Maybe we'll be neighbors!slizerd wrote:If I'm there this fall, pretty positive I'll be at Woodbury Gardens because of its shuttle and pet allowanceJames.K.Polk wrote:Where are you guys looking to live? Edit: Are you on the waitlist or whatever there? I feel like I should be.

I'm currently looking at Packard Square. It is a little on the expensive side, but I will be living with my SO (who will be working) so we will have a source of income. Of course, it is contingent on being easily accessible to the law school.James.K.Polk wrote:Where are you guys looking to live? My budget is a soft $1600 for a 1-2BR (assuming I have a roomie).

I'm not on a wait list for it, but I called to schedule a tour of the place and they said there were still open fall spots. I definitely need to decide soon so I don't miss any housing windows though!

Anyone have an knowledge of more non-traditional housing options? Moving with my SO who will be working and we're way more interested in living in a house/downtown apartment than a student housing complex.

Hey! I'm the same - like Slizard mentioned, Woodbury Gardens is nice and pretty far away. Zillow has some nice options for quiet 1-2 BR apartments far away from campus (aka no undergrads). Also, Kerrytown has houses if you're interested in that, and has a lot of grad students.basedvulpes wrote:Anyone have an knowledge of more non-traditional housing options?
