... did you just tell a guy with a 140/3.5 to ask himself if he wants a scotus position?
Hahahaha short answer... YES! I am evil and ridiculous. But the backstory to why I am posting in "what are my chances" will tell you why I was even there. BUT this is taken a bit out of context. I was explaining to him that someone with such a low score asking for help from us is only going to get help by being introspective and figuring out what he wants. Maybe he wants something that is reachable, in which case retake and reach the goal or realize that he needs to reconsider his goal in general. IDC if he wants to start his own practice in St. Pete, FL. or he wants to be a SCOTUS clerk of work for a V3 or be an in house for BP oil. IDC, but with such a far off destination, he needed to narrow in to determine if its worth it. You do not cross the dessert looking for a mirage, you cross it with a GPS... lol
I thought it was good advice and got your point, although it is kinda funny that was one of your examples.
yes, yes it was lol

I spend one morning digging a ditch and you all turn Dawg into a troll and start making carb-based Adele covers? I should take TLS breaks more often.

nada. still waiting on financial aid stuff to be on the table so i can make an informed-ish decision. I feel like I've met very few people at ASWs/receptions who have decided/committed.

There are a number of people I met that I thought were probably on here. Now I'm just left wondering!

Can't wait for people to meet me and steer clear thinking I'm going to be a complete asshole  Actually...just gonna keep TLS prof on the DL. Why would I actually want someone knowing that I frequent an ONLINE CHATBORT, even one as preftigious as top-law-schools.

I feel like we should create a code word or something.
A shibboleth of sorts? (Sorry I just found out Joshua Malina is doing a West Wing podcast).

They made me do it, I was forced, coerced even. But it wasn't a difficult coercion. They just steered me in the trollish direction I wanted to go. It was not intentionally trolling, really, but that does not make me feel any less like Darth Dawg57. Also, add ditch digging to your resume, strategic late cycle move there BirdLaw

Oh, and while my decision is like 90% made I have not even come close to committing. I have responded to one of those, not exactly real, financial aid response deadlines back in February. But those a re a loose thing. I am still waiting for several chips to fall finaid wise. I likely know where I will be, but am confident that scholarships at multiple schools will shift in the coming weeks.

I literally just finished recording the first five episodes of my West Wing podcast. Fuck. Back to the drawing board.

I vote sasparilla, you know, like anyone says when they walk in an ASW saloon... "I'll take a tall glass of Sasparilla there Dean Whatsyername" Then all TLSers in the crowd hold up the 3 fingers in a weird combination of Django Unchained and The Hunger Games that I just created in my head. This Wednesday Coffee is toxic.

So last night, I met some prospective law students at a reception who dissed the forums. Clearly, I won't be friends with those individuals if we end up at the same school.
