Great to know! I e-mailed the general RTK info e-mail last week because of the pending application so at least I know the process isn't over, thank you so much!

My pleasure, and good luck!!! Last year (according to the thread) the equivalent of today (12 days before interview) was the last day anyone cited hearing about an interview, so hopefully you hear soon!

Yep! I got my offer about 9 days after my ding
Huh, interesting, it has been 9 days for me now. Normally I'd be patient and wait for them to come to me, but with the deposit deadline coming up for most schools, I am considering emailing them asking about my standing for merit scholarships. Good idea or no?
Just wait! They were telling people that it would be about two weeks after named scholly dings.

Has anyone who was a finalist for a named scholarship heard back about it? I know RTK hasn't had their interviews yet, but what about the other programs?

I think the majority (if not all) of interviews are next weekend!

Just withdrew. Tough to send that email, but I needed to simplify my decision. Maybe frees up some $$ for a TLSer? Good luck folks!

Quick question for those who are also interviewing for the RTK but will be visiting other schools in April and need to book tickets before prices go way up but also need the schools to subsidize your travel: what are you doing? Are you booking your tickets now and assuming you won't choose NYU?

If you get the RTK and take it (and therefore have to withdraw from the other schools before you visit), will you just bite the bullet and pay the cancellation fee for your ticket? Any other options?

Anyone who did NOT apply for a named scholarship receive financial aid information yet? I got in around mid January and have heard nothing, didn't even get the promised email w/ instructions for how to apply (though I did fill out my NeedAccess and FAFSA for NYU).

Ya, I heard a couple weeks ago but applied in October and got in in December. I'm sure they just haven't gotten to you yet

If you can help it, fly Southwest. What date will they tell you by, do you know?

From my understanding we'll hear by April 3rd, which means we have until April 6th to decide. My first campus visit in April will be April 9th.

April 3rd will be the earliest you'll hear - you could hear after that date, and possibly even after April 9th.

Those of you who have received non-named merit awards, how did you access/view your award? Was it on the financial aid application processing website, or delivered some other way? I received my financial aid info this morning via that website and there isn't any merit award included, only loans. Obviously hoping some merit money is still coming!

My award was under a link that said "My Award".

Thanks for the info. Guess it's no merit money for me. NYU at sticker is pretty unreasonable for me, hope I can negotiate something from them since it's my first choice.

No, on closer inspection mine had the same line buried at the end of a paragraph. Very disappointing.

In the same boat here. No institutional aid, no nothing. Really disappointed since NYU is one of my top choices too. Are you guys gonna negotiate? Does anyone know the chances of getting money with negotiation?

Anyone get an email about which scholarship/interview slot you have for RTK? I figured they will send them all at once, but thought I would check since we are supposed to hear that this week.

Has anyone had difficulty logging into that site? I'm just trying to fill out a merit-only form.

I haven't! I was getting worried that they had called me as a mistake so I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in not having heard about the scholarship/panel!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
