Exactly... In at Chicago with scholly to come (apparently). I do love Georgetown and would strongly consider, but idk what the general consensus is on money

I'm not expecting money right now (from CCN), but I was hoping to leverage money from lower schools, so a strong offer from GULC would be very very helpful. As a splitter though, I'm sort of resigning myself to luke-warm schollly offers across the board :/

I'm not expecting money right now (from CCN), but I was hoping to leverage money from lower schools, so a strong offer from GULC would be very very helpful. As a splitter though, I'm sort of resigning myself to luke-warm schollly offers across the board :/

Don't settle for too little, provided you indeed want to go. GULC tends to make comparatively low-ball first offers, but is definitely receptive to leveraging CCN acceptances and $$, as well as $$$$ from other lower t-14s. I got them up to a high number last year, but it took several rounds of negotiating and leveraging offers that I wouldn't have turned down if I wasn't set on being in DC because of spouse's job.

I'd wait. Just tell them a number that would enable you to decide on the spot. Best to save your leverage for later, since they're unlikely to offer you what you ask for (assuming you ask for enough-I told them I needed a full ride in my first email, if they wanted me to commit at that point).

I'm not sure - I sent an email after the first round of 'how much money do you need' emails that was like "heyyyyy can't attend without cash" - it wasn't specifically acknowledged, but got one of their second wave of 'how much money do you need emails,' at the same time as a bunch of other people. So I'm not sure if my request helped.... it probably didn't hurt though.
