I am, and according to last year's thread this is still within a normal timeframe to be waiting. Good luck!

Just got my financial aid award finalized, which included the Dean's Award Scholarship. I submitted my Need Access and FAFSA a little before March 1. Check your emails!

Got my $$ offer a couple hours ago. $35k/year with the 3L stipulation after being dinged from named schollys last week! Withdrawing because COL makes it far more expensive than my UVA offer. Good luck everyone!

Anyone planning to go to the admitted student reception at Cravath tonight?
Any opinions on appropriate dress? I want thinking about doing slacks, with a blazer, but could jet uptown early to grab a suit.

congrats on your scholarship! after submitting your need access and fafsa was there anything else you needed to do? i know nyu doesn't have their own scholarship application, but i've submitted the need access and fafsa and for some reason something still feels unfinished
Nope, just submitted Need Access and FAFSA. My parents actually only filled out 2014 information, and that didn't delay things. May be because I'm older, though. I'm 26.

I'll be there. I went to a Georgetown reception last night and it was business attire, think the kind of outfit you'd wear to court. Slacks and a blazer should be just fine.

Has anyone tried negotiating financial aid with NYU yet? I have a few questions I'd love to float if anyone was willing to PM.

For those who got the ding to a named scholarship, is the wait about 2 weeks to hear from financial aid? I feel like I read that on a thread but I can't find it....

I got an invite to interview last week. Sorry you're still waiting! It's definitely past the midpoint of March!

Does anyone know how quickly merit aid is released after RTK interviews for those who are not awarded the scholarship?

Adding commentary to the "where is my money" train, I didn't apply for a named scholarship and still haven't gotten my award notice. I filled out NeedAccess and FAFSA in early February. I e-mailed financial aid almost two weeks ago and they said they were working on my award and had received all of the requisite materials. I don't know if this bodes well for me or not, but I just wanted to share that it isn't only named scholarship applicants who are still waiting on awards.

Huh, interesting, it has been 9 days for me now. Normally I'd be patient and wait for them to come to me, but with the deposit deadline coming up for most schools, I am considering emailing them asking about my standing for merit scholarships. Good idea or no?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
