What's the low down on the scholarship interviews? What are their questions, should I prepare anything?
Also, do I need to have completed the need/merit applications?

Very conversational, I didn't find it to be stressful at all. I would research the school so you can have a good conversation on why Duke appeals to you and why you're a good fit. Tell them the programs you're excited to join, the professors and classes that you want to take, and the clinics that fit your interests.frasier wrote:What's the low down on the scholarship interviews? I believe that it isn't necessary but it's a good idea. You probably won't get your award until you do, and it gives them more info to go off of

Updated the OP with link to some of the scholarship interview stuff found in the applicant thread (it will be missing some of the experiences offered, but should be a good place to start).

98.3% certain I'll be at Duke next year!
Does anyone know if there's a page to find potential roommates? Maybe on a Facebook group or through a Duke graduate students forum?

The past two years, there's been a Google document posted in the Facebook group. I don't know if there's one for your year yet, as it's pretty early to be worrying about this (even if you're committed, do you want to trust that someone else is to the point you sign a lease together?). C/O 2017's was just modified into C/O 2018's, and I assume that may happen again for C/O 2019, so I've included the link.mustmixwithaction wrote:98.3% certain I'll be at Duke next year!

I'm interested in this as well, though I'm not sure whether I'll be going yet. At what point in time do people generally start looking for roommates and such?Serett wrote:The past two years, there's been a Google document posted in the Facebook group. Re: Duke Law Class of 2019
I mean, you guys can do it whenever you want; there aren't special rules to law school roommate searches that don't apply to roommate searches generally. But in the C/O 2017 and C/O 2018 topics, the topic generally didn't come up until late March/early April, and it is not a necessity until maybe mid-summer (or at least until after the deadline to accept Duke's offer--if you want Pinnacle Ridge, probably safer not to wait until July).Applesauce11 wrote:I'm interested in this as well, though I'm not sure whether I'll be going yet. Whoa, already? What was the date on your letter? Hoping I get my offer today, since I leave for some admitted days tonight.Applesauce11 wrote:And it just came- I live up north fwiw. Not happy- I got half of what Michigan offered. Do they negotiate?Applesauce11 wrote:Scholarship decision mailed!
Also, sorry to hear it. I'm not sure what the protocol is on negotiations, but I imagine they would?

Got mine in the mail today too.
Decision mailed 2/29 but the letter is dated the 26th. Also up north so it took a few days.
Generous but maybe not enough. Lots to think about!

Current status is now blank. I just interviewed early last week.
Could the scholly decision timeline be accelerating now that they have the process underway?

It seems like it- I think they started releasing after they had already made a huge stack of decisions. Good luck!AnonymousPython wrote:Current status is now blank. I just interviewed early last week.
