I need suggestions for good HLS related movies. I watched the Paper Chase, which was meh, and now I need more ideas. No need to mention Legally Blonde, that's already on the list.

6 days. I think this wave is much larger, so it might take a bit longer. 6 days included a weekend.mastermoo wrote:+180 (dont know if i did that right, I just see it alot when I lurk and have always wanted to try)earthabides wrote:For people in the last wave, how long did it take to get your .edu emails

Not strictly "HLS", but for Harvard in general I'm a big fan of "With Honors". Brendan Fraiser, Joe Pesci, and Patrick Dempsey goodness.Hildegard15 wrote:I need suggestions for good HLS related movies. I watched the Paper Chase, which was meh, and now I need more ideas. I am generally a fairly humble, understated person, but I feel confident in saying that I would kick all of your asses at Catan.curious bobcat wrote:Can't make me mad if you can't beat melawstud24 wrote:love both! although catan will probably ruin our friendships faster than we can build themcurious bobcat wrote:Any board game fans here? On another note, just registered for the second ASW! Sad that most of you are going to the 1st one though.

For sure. I felt like leaving open the April 1-2 weekend would give me more options if I decided last minute to attend another ASW somewhere else. Plus, assuming most of us end up at HLS, we still might accidentally meet or on purpose eventually.Timantha wrote:10/10 would watchWinterComing wrote:I am generally a fairly humble, understated person, but I feel confident in saying that I would kick all of your asses at Catan.

Is Airbnb TCR for Cambridge lodging during ASW if you don't have a good friend who lives nearby? Looking through the accommodations that HLS recommends and I feel like I could find a more cost-effective alternative on Airbnb

Yes, I think so. Alternative would be booking with points at the major chains as the prices are ridiculous...oreomilkshake wrote:Idk if it's tcr but I just booked a place on airbnbEnderWiggin wrote:Is Airbnb TCR for Cambridge lodging during ASW if you don't have a good friend who lives nearby? Re: Harvard C/O 2019
... Could I get some advice on ASW planning? I'm from Canada and trying to figure out how to get to places
I'd like to make the April 1-2 ASW, but I also wanted to drop by the Columbia/NYU ASWs on March 30 and 31 - how feasible is it to sneak out of NYU ASW in the afternoon of March 31 and travel to Boston/Cambridge that night? If feasible, how should I get from NYC to Cambridge - I'm thinking taking the train or bus to Boston, then subway (according to Google!) to Cambridge?
Also, would anyone be able to give me a hotel recommendation near Harvard? Do y'all already know where you'll be living? Sorry for lots of questions, I'm probably directionally-challenged and require copious amounts of hand-holding

Been exploring the HLS website now that I have a login and can actually access a lot of the content. So much info on the career services pages, loving the podcasts on different careers
