Likewise for me and my kind... Haha. Only we might more closely resemble the likes of the show moonshiners on a creek somewhere in Sothern Appalachian/Northern GA.

How dare you.
It's OK, we'll have our revenge on Sunday when he/she is back at work already.
Most of my weekend will be on a plane - so you all probably have more to look forward to

I'm just jealous, ignore me. Happy Friday to you!

If you can make it a month, I will marry you.
Or otherwise compensate you, your choice.

Been lurking on this thread & now checking in! Finally told my boss I'll be leaving in the near future for law school (only because my coworker who also applied had told her months ago and made me divulge this secret)

Thanks!

She said "Oh.. I didn't know." and there was a long awkward pause before she got all giddy and started asking about schools haha

Have you two set a date yet? We'll all have to fit it in with our ASW schedules so.

We both love Parks & Rec. Is anything else needed for a successful marriage?
I hear that alcohol helps, but I'm Irish so take that with a grain of salt and a shot of tequila.

1) your sociocultural background make up continues to shock and awe me with its complexity. But such is the norm for the other side of the gulf coast from me. I think there is a polarity between eastern gulf coast and western gulf coast states. Both of which are too weird and awesome for the rest of the world to understand.
2) your alcoholic suggestions and undertones remind me why, despite the aforementioned differences, all of us from that region of the country do it the right way, the best way.
That is all.
Happy Stupid early Friday for the guy on the east coast going in to work.

Not too complex, equal parts Irish and Cajun with a helping of German for good measure. All three like to drink, all three are pretty Catholic generally speaking, and all three speak a language that, to outsiders, is essentially well organized gibberish. I think you're right that the diversity of culture is more common in Louisiana and Texas, back when I worked in North Carolina I was surprised that a lot of the people in greater Appalachia were relatively homogenous as far as heritage goes.

Also, I'm subbing for a biology teacher in a pretty rough high school today, so this should be fun. I'll try to take good notes of dumb shit the kids do. Already on the list is kids playing dominoes in the hallway before school, which isn't dumb but it made me feel dumb for never thinking to do it when I was in high school.
