We can all bring food on the same day and share photos of it here! I'll be out next Monday and and Tuesday but I'd be up for a virtual potluck on Wednesday. I make a mean flourless chocolate torte. But if I make that I'll need your addresses to send you some because otherwise I'll eat it all.capricasixx wrote:+1BirdLawExpert wrote:I want to be a part of this program. In a ziploc. Good choice, gumbo is an excellent potluck food. Will there be shrimp?BirdLawExpert wrote:Anybody have any idea what the best way to mail gumbo would be?SlithyTove wrote:If it's legal to send food I will mail you all cookies.capricasixx wrote:We can all bring food on the same day and share photos of it here! Shrimp? You mean crawfish? Shrimp are for rich people.

Pardon me sir; you're the Expert. But I'm pretty sure you're fancier than you claim just because of your use of the word "crawfish" instead of the more acceptably bumpkin version of "crawdad".BirdLawExpert wrote:SlithyTove wrote:In a ziploc. Well, when you said Gumbo I imagined you making it with Troy Landry BirdLaw --- and both of you talking like this while looking for Gumbo ingredients.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I told my boss I would be leaving for law school during my interview. Been keeping a few people in the office posted on my cycle. When I got my JS2, the entire office surprised me a few hours later with a cake (even had my name on it!). Evidently we're supposed to go out to celebrate when I choose what school I'm going to. My job isn't perfect (long hours, long commute, etc.), but I still think I really lucked out, because the people here are great.rska884 wrote:No potlucks for me, although I've gotten a few nice dinners from the boss while discussing applications/results/attendance. That being said, if you get me and my cousins out on a boat in the swamp y'all'd probably need subtitles to keep up.

Yeah, my firm would probably slowly start collapsing around me if I just stopped working without telling anyone haha. People would notice pretty quickly. Actually kind of nervous what I'm going to come back to when I take some days off to go to some ASWs...forlornhope wrote:Pfffft. I haven't even been given meaningful tasks for the past 3 weeks.
