Happy to see you guys, its paycheck week, so in trying to make sure it was not my last one they give me I have been trying to get work done lately. But now I am SUCKED back into the Law school thinking doldrums big time by the USNWR leaks - i know.. not appropriate for this thread. but thats what pulled me back in - wonder if they are a total accurate leak - I have my skepticism...

I totally understand this, so not here to debate, just to offer a degree of certainty if that helps. They are accurate. I obviously can't say how I get them (or that would stop in the future), but know that for the last three years we have broken them early and it has always been with 100% accuracy. Also, every law school has them now and I was able to cross check some things. Everything checked out. So unless there is a grand conspiracy sent to every law school too, you can trust themDawg57 wrote:Happy to see you guys, its paycheck week, so in trying to make sure it was not my last one they give me I have been trying to get work done lately. I do trust it generally speaking. And have been all over your website and ATL. (As I almost always am) I just find a few things odd. A few schools making weird shifts. For example, a school not in the T14 but in a respectable range year in and year out (around 50ish and ranked in the ATL top 50) has inexplicably fallen out of the T100 this year. I wonder what could have possibly happened to warrant this.

Ahh see I wondered about this. It just didn't seem feasible. I mean, prob unnoticed by most people viewing them. But they are one of my safety schools. This more so on my radar than others. Good to know that they haven't taken some sort of apocalyptic plummet out of sight.

I bet! Well if it's any consolation you had a great run. Any idea what you want to do next, or is this a Field of Dreams situation where you're going to go off and build a scale replica of an old courtroom so the ghosts of former judges and litigators can practice law in the great beyond?MikeSpivey wrote:I'm quitting. Oh, I was totally kidding. I'll deal with the hassles because I get a lot of rewards and wonderful experience from this job that I wouldn't if I hopped back on the treadmill of administration.BirdLawExpert wrote:I bet! Ugh, good idea though. I thought I got paid tomorrow and it turns out I don't get paid until Tuesday. Stupid pay cycle lands exactly on the 15th and 30th if it's not a holiday/weekend. Joining this thread to say that I had the unique treat of waking up at 6 to attend a mandatory five-hour benefits training, eight months after I was hired. It was a lovely time to catch up on Twitter and I really wish giving two months notice was considered socially acceptable, but alas.

I feel so lucky. My coworkers (and my boss) have known about law school for over a year. It was probably a stupid idea to tell them but they've been super supportive and my boss wrote me an awesome LOR. Every time I get an acceptance, they throw me a potluck. That doesn't stop me from wanting to quit two months early though...capricasixx wrote:I wish I could give four months notice.lurker816 wrote:Joining this thread to say that I had the unique treat of waking up at 6 to attend a mandatory five-hour benefits training, eight months after I was hired. Same here - the expectation is that people in my position will move on to school or other positions after a few years, but I'm the first one in a while going to law school - my boss is super excited he finally got one again. Doesn't make me want to leave now any less though...SlithyTove wrote:I feel so lucky. My coworkers (and my boss) have known about law school for over a year.
