It's Wednesday, which means it's only 7am here and I'm already in the office. Also going to jump ship and join the corgis.

On the bright side, I woke up to my first outright acceptance! It was from my absolute last choice school, but it's something! Now I know I can quit my job in 4 months no matter what, thank the flying spaghetti monster...

How was drinking with the Lewis and Clark folks yesterday? Did they feed you?

It was actually really good. Free food AND drinks! I got to talk with the dean, who was a very nice lady and seemed super sharp but was clearly wearing a wig, so I had to really concentrate on not starting at her hairline...

Oh! That is distracting. I feel terrible about it but women in wigs always make me think of Roald Dahl's 'The Witches'. Are you in Portland, or does the dean travel to events elsewhere?

They came to San Francisco, actually. Three blocks from my office, at a brewpub I know and like, so no complaints there. I don't think I'll get to visit any schools outside the Bay Area sadly.

The struggle is so real right now. Once I got my first acceptance and realized that there was no incentive for a promotion, i lost all of my motivation for my job.

I started a new job in January, when I already knew I'd be there a maximum of six months. They don't have to know that, though. I'm giving one month's notice on June 1st. Gotta do you.

Im working for a growth-stage start-up that's doing really well so everyone's excited about the company and I'm just like bleh. I keep getting asked about where I would like to grow in the company and what my long term goals are by my manager and coworkers. no one has any idea about law school. Lying through my teeth right now.
