So there's a new opening at my job that would allow me to slack even more, but I'd be leaving it after three months (I'd stay until July for it). My job isn't prestigious/law related and I have no intention of ever going back. Should I take it?

Thought i'd chime in since i'm in full blown quitting-my-job-soon-ioritis mode. My three weeks of accrued vacation time will be spent wisely. My birthday week off in July and more importantly 2 weeks-worth of Fridays off until I throw in the towel. Couldn't think of a better way to do it lol.

I did that in the Navy ... bled off my vacation, and pissed off a few people especially the officer above me to had to sign them. Around September he was done and said he wasn't signing any more. October 1st is the new year and on that day I handed in another stack all saying days vacation taken this year - ZEROChris Manifesto wrote:Thought i'd chime in since i'm in full blown quitting-my-job-soon-ioritis mode. 20 approvals later he was pissed and I was happy. Good times, good times.

I thought so, too lol. I think I spent an entire work day going through the calendar trying to sort out the best expenditure of my PTO. Next on my list is: figuring out what days will I be "sick"

Also, though it might be cutting it close, Aug 17 my cycle renews so I get another 3 weeks. Might have to put that request in all at once and just not come back lol

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
I was in lecture this morning at 8:30. Really easy geography class about the American West. One that I rarely go to. Professor cold calls me, asking about an article we were supposed to read. The topic was about sustainability and biodiversity, some stuff like that. I just started talking about global warming, dropping in key phrases like "carbon footprint" and "responsible land use". He liked what I said, and asked me to go to his office hours next week to talk about it some more...fuck fuck fuck

Quick update for anyone wondering how my call went with cancelling my comcast. The entire call only time like 20 minutes and everyone was nice to me, with only one person trying to get me not to cancel. I think this is because of the reason I gave them, which is that I'm moving back in with my parents, who already have comcast. It was slightly embarrassing telling them "Yeah I'm graduating in May so I'm moving, but don't worry, my parents have comcast too"

Get let go do to lack of work
Collect unemployment
Just ask your job for a change of hours due to law school hours
They say no
You say okay
Lack of work
2 years of monthly checks
