So true, dropping the Gtown name to non-TLS contributors feels pretty good no matter where you are in the country.
I live in DC, and had multiple people at a bar the other night trying to convince me that GULC is #1 law school nationally.

At the end of the day -- in my humble opinion -- if you go to a school in the top 25 --you'll have some doors opened for you. If you contribute to whatever organization you start with - you'll do well and more doors will open. If your work ethic is crap and you don't contribute, it doesn't matter where your JD is from -- you'll fizzle out career-wise. GULC, like many schools, will open doors for you (maybe not as many as UVA initially) - but it's what you do once you walk through that door that determines your success! However, I do understand the reasoning from folks that want as many doors open as possible - especially a K-JD. Again though - Im just a 0L - what the hell do I know!

I just received a "Georgetown Law Scholarship Inquiry Received" email. Is this an email responding to my feeler email response? It's worded more like a "we have received your solicitation email" (which I did send).

Yep I got the same one. Pretty sure it's just confirmation that they recieved your solicitation and will consider it.

Got the same email, but my merit scholarship was on there. I guess I'm not getting need aid, since it was all loans.

I was in the first round of scholarship awards. When I got the complete financial award email (separate from scholarship emails), the package it linked to showed my merit award too. But I also wouldn't say it -definitely- means you aren't getting any scholarship money.

This MyAccess page is pretty confusing to me. All other schools give financial aid over three years, but Georgetown only makes the award for one year? Does anyone understand what this means/is it subject to change?

sooo i got the email, but after spending 20 minutes trying to get onto MyAccess and trying to figure out the difference between this and the admitted students website, there is no award available. wut. am i doing this wrong?

Edit: nvm excessive refreshing has worked. "Deans Tuition Grant" = merit award right?

eek: I just checked and I got the email as well, but I only see loans?

edit2: my feeler email response did say that I'd hear back in early April, so I'm going to assume that this isn't a bad sign.
