i don't even know how the fuck i could be busy. what the fuck do i do all day? i go to classes, hang around for a bit with friends, come home and do some chores, eat dinner, do the readings, and i look up and it's like 2am.

How important do you all think it is in getting involved with law school clubs? I've gotten like 20 emails asking for 1l reps, but I just have no interest in joining any. Between bar review on thursday and football saturday thats enough socializing for me

I figured it couldn't hurt to sign up for everything, but I only plan on attending events with free food (as my schedule permits).

Keep hearing about all this 2 am stuff, I've always been done reading by 8 at the latest. Usually done by dinner.

For the part-time students, dinner is closer to the start time then the end.

I'm full time. The syllabi seem to pick up a bit in the next few weeks but not so much so I will have to be up reading until 2. I'll probably only have to put those hours in during crunch time before exams. Although all the 2/3Ls say my section definitely got the best professors.

Seriously. I just made a time budget to see wtf I've been doing. It's the damn readings. I time myself. Takes about 1hr 30min per class minimum. Have to read for 3 classes perday. Add legal writing and this is where all the time goes.

The readings will get easier and easier as time goes on and you learn how to read dense law shit more efficiently. Almost everyone takes way too long to grasp stuff the first several weeks.
