Question. How are you notified of how much $ you're receiving from GTown? One school sent me an email about a week or two after I was accepted with the aid offer. I received my acceptance letter to GTown last week, but haven't received any email confirmation except when i logged into the Admitted Students Portal. Do i have to feel out the yellow application or will they notify me if I get anything?

You are emailed by the admissions people asking about what number would make you come to GULC. They didn't email me initially, so I inquired about it and got the email solicitation a few days later. I still haven't heard back on their offer, but here's hoping some day soon. The yellow application is just for need based financial aid and has no bearing on merit aid.

Any other PILS-excited hopefuls out there? I'm feeling it in my bones (...and/or just hoping like mad) that there will be some news next week. Looking back at past threads, it seems like students chosen for PILS are notified in late March and given five days to make a decision. (For example, one person back in 2013 was called and told they had been selected as a PILS recipient on Wednesday, March 28th.) Within the five decision days, I imagine, alternates are notified if/when original candidates decline, and they are given the opportunity to accept. The end of those five days lines up pretty well with the April 1st-ish notification for everyone else that they are no longer being considered. Long story short: I'm hoping for news about PILS here on TLS on Monday, I'm expecting news about PILS here on TLS on Wednesday, and if nothing has happened by Friday then I might learn to stop "feeling [important decision dates] in my bones," although I will probably forever hope like mad.
