just make sure financial aid and the bursar are aware of your sitch

Wahr..same here! Our loans/finaid don't disburse until late September when there's a month of school before then. Although our finaid office will give us a small advance if we really need some cash now. Maybe see if yours can do the same?

Even if they don't disburse the loans, did they apply it to your account at all and then show a credit? I cannot possibly see how any school can expect you all to cover that. It might be the kjd mindset but I was always used to disbursement a couple of weeks before school for living and books. Having to live off of credit cards for a month is not ideal.

Yeah, we're lucky! At least until we hate each other when I'm steeped in 1L bs and she is commuting too much.

Most schools will hold the bills until the funds are dispersed, sucks that your school's admin are being dorks about the issue.

Still living in the same area (actually the same apartment) as I have been so everything is meeting expectations. It really hit me at bar review that I'll be frequenting the same places for another 3 years...but then again I spent Saturday at the beach for like the millionth time this year so the same places are pretty good in my book.

One of mine doesn't allow them. I had already planned to write all my notes anyway though. Technology has a habit of not working for me when I really need it.
